  1. I know we all love old cars. Watching the new show on tv call Agent Carter. Had seen several old mopars on the show anyone's cars being used for filming?
  2. But they would be so pretty and shiny then turn that pretty green color. Talk about some patina.
  3. I've got the first kit Charlie made for the four bolt plate, fits great and installs easily.
  4. I've been searching to find a chart that would show the width of the Chrysler 8.25 axle in a 1988 Jeep Cherokee.
  5. There is a tapered pin that "locks" it in place in the middle of the spindle that has to be knocked out before removing the main pin. The tapered pin is directional, king pin is not. its the lock pin in your picture and goes into the hole you see in the upright spindle

  7. Finally had a chance to play around on the new forum. Gonna try to put up some pictures and stuff. https://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-snc6/263321_10150736117740523_6840422_n.jpg https://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-snc7/396970_10151953812480523_509014103_n.jpg https://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash3/487289_10151777990725523_1167929824_n.jpg If these links worked then the first is a little upgrade my wife wanted on her car, the her sitting in an awfully expensive car on one of our anniversary trips (and it's not the first time that's happened and for some reason the owners wouldn't let me sit in it), and the third is when I took my girls to a Braves game. P.S. it worked, sweet
  8. I put one of those together brand new from Home Depot at an old house to store all my lawn and garden tools and supplies. I imagine it wasn't easy to disassemble and move, lord knows that putting mine up by myself took half a day.
  9. I haven't had much time to check the forum the last week and a half and I know you guys like to hear about trips and experiences so I'll fill you in. I left Atlanta Thursday of last week with a co-worker to come do storm relief work in the New Jersey/New York areas. We went to the Jersey shore and they got hit hard, we aren't licensed there and getting work looked a little tough so we headed to NY. My co-worker had met a guy from NY in a certification class two weeks ago that has a roofing and construction company that is in several states for Hurricane work. We've partnered with him to dry out all the houses they are demoing out. It's been an interesting trip, we've met a lot of great people, and we are helping people get there houses and lives back together. I've been working in Long Beach since Monday. The damage here is pretty bad. We are checking into a hotel that just got power back on 2 days ago. I've gotten a bunch of pictures and when I get home I will post some for you. PS. Have seen a beautiful early 50's Plymouth in New Jersey and an early 50's Dodge near where I'm working in a car lot. I'm gonna check it out if I get a chance.
  10. I'm definitely planning to attend. The last get together was a great time and the impromptu car show in the yard was nice as well. It is great to meet some of the other forum members. Nice to speak face to face, not face to screen. Besides, Tim I will go ahead and warn you I'm gonna try and talk you out of the D24 front bumper Lou sold you.
  11. I don't know the entire history, but someone resurrected the Avanti badge as an independent brand. They put the bodies on a borrowed GM drivetrain from the Camaro/Firebird line. They were made about 100 yards from where my office is now until GM cut those cars from production and they had no donors for running gear. I had spoken once to the people that ran the place and were great to talk with and loved what they did. Just an interesting anecdote I thought I would share.
  12. I have a friend with a '65 mustang fastback doing the tour this year with his wife. I've enjoyed seeing the pictures they put on facebook
  13. I had a '96 Nissan Maxima to about 165 mph, I say about cause the speedo only went to 155
  14. Billy, I'm gonna be in Cumming on Saturday with the family. I would like to stop by if you're going to be around. Shoot me a message if you see this post.
  15. Be careful, he's got that little yellow rocket that is quite fast. 13. He's got a beard that would make ZZ Top proud.
  16. That's sad. Every day on my trip to our office I pass a 53 Desoto. I posted on here 2 years ago when I had seen it and stopped to ask about it. $10k was the asking price then and the car hasnt moved an inch since parked by the road. The gentleman had inherited the car from his father and had seen one too many Barrett-Jackson auctions. I love our hobby and the great cars this forum supports but if I ever feel my D24 is worth more than $25-50k, Mr Adams can bring his suburban up and take me to the nut house.
  17. Marty, that's why I wanted something like my old Dodge.
  18. Yesterday when my girls were visiting with their mother they called to tell me that they had passed by a car show in the town near where we live. I love that my kids know and understand my enjoyment of automobiles and felt it important to tell me about the show. Here's a picture of us at Disney from a few weeks ago.
  19. Rusty Hope's kit uses Volare rotors so if you swapped rears you would be able to use a mopar or ford rear end. I'm going to pick up a rear end from an explorer to put under my Dodge. They have the same bolt pattern and I'll get one that has factory discs, so I will have four wheel disc brakes. I'm upgrading to a newer style MC with remote reservoir.
  20. Ive got the Rusty Hope kit installed on my D24. Searching for threads thayer I have posted and you will see the pictures I put up. All parts sourced at local parts stores very inexpensively and easily.
  21. Matt, the last paragraph is exactly where I would be looking. From the pics you posted the damage is very minor and would be pretty easily fixed or replaced with a little work and searching on your part. Plus have some money left for upgrades or another car
  22. I am, had a long lunch with my boss. He had just gotten back from Australia.
  23. Not a problem Randy, I noticed it while having a beer at a bar and about had a fit when I had seen the old Dodge. I guess I'm a little partial to them.
  24. I thought I had caught a glance of a D24 in a commercial today for pennzoil. Anyone else seen this spot? Even better, do you have a link for the video?
