Location of all the members.

I think it would be helpful if when you click on a thread and to the right it tells where the member lives. I notice some do and some don't.. I have no idea if that is possible but I enjoy knowing where people live as I am reading a thread.

There are a good many folks trying to hide and don't even want to list the state they are in thinking that they must be special and that every thief is looking for them and their stuff. Paranoia at its finest.

Really...dont know what the problem is....my address is posted because of the Tailgate BBQ....on occasion members who are on a road trip during the year stop by unannounced to say "hello"....nothing like the wild wild west. lol:D

It is up to the member to add there location. I agree that all should do so. Glad you have done so. Might be helpful if you tell how to do so.

northern Indiana is a large area..but yet it defines the man's general locale close enough..I do not think that anyone here has ever asked for street location..and hide..all big brother has to do is supena the records for the forum and he has the man's IPS..with that its just a matter of programming the drone for a direct hit..

Open the USER CP on the lower left of the above tool bar. Scrol down to the box that says "ADDITIONAL INFORMATION" "WHERE YOU LIVE" and enter your information.

I might be nice if a map existed which had icons showing where members are. Then when one travels it would be easy to have coffee. I am working on driving my truck to Indianapolis and will look up as many members on the route along the way. That way I have help if I need it and good places to stop. I wish Tennessee was on the route, maybe I will have to make a detour.

I've seen that for other sites, it can be a two edged sword tho. Some people value their privacy...I'm somewhat indifferent, heck, even posting a picture taken with a digital camera of any sort can give a savy person the geo-tracking location of the picture.

There are at least 2 maps where members of both truck and car boards are pinned.

If you want to stay anonymous, and under your rock, its probably not a good idea to be othe web. If you are already here, why not share a location a bit more defining that western hemisphere? You don't need to get specific with street address, but a city or county might help you find other members nearby.
