I am ready to start ripping into it. I worked on it for about an hour. I was able to get it to almost start. It kicked a couple times.

I'll have a bunch of pics when I get it all cleaned up.

Thanks for the encouragement guys except for Mr. Coatney:D

Rats:rolleyes:

That truck looks great. Looks like a scuff and clear coat would give it an awesome look. And nice tow truck too!

Paints a little rough on the fenders but the rest is pretty nice.

Dodge truck looks great but the IH tow truck looks even better. What year? I am guessing 74?

Thanks Don. You're close on the year it's a '63 :D

whatcha got under the hood in that old IH?

It's a BG241 6 cylinder with a manual trans. It does pretty good.

Thanks alot guys. I have a few plans but first I'll get it mechanically sound then everything else.

a college buddy of mine would absolutely KILL for that IH! Sweet looking trucks!

Guys, focus here!! This is about the Dodge not the International. Act as if the IH isn't in the pics. Show the 'ol Dodge some respect please

Thanks for the compliments on both trucks. I've worked hard on the International. It is my daily and will be unless I sell it. The Dodge I just plan on giving it a good bath and get it mechanically sound and enjoy it for now.

It might, just might get the same type of treatment as the IH did. I really like a utilitarian truck. I would love to use the truck through all types of weather. I really like the Dodge body styling.

Thanks again for the nice words.

Pics later.

Somebody on the IH site is probably saying the same things about the Dodge. I sure wish I had pics of mine when I first got it. Looks like a really good start.

Ron you gonna label it up for the business and take the advertising, business expense and depreciation????????????

Looks very solid. Have fun. Be neat to tow the Buick gasser to the strip.

What ever became of the one lung kids go car you came up with a while back????

I do plan on some sort of artwork on the IH for the business but I'm hoping I'll be doing it to the Dodge if that guy buys the International. Good idea on the depreciation.

I bet you haven't seen the Buick since I made it a roller. Well here you go;

As for the little car, I haven't messed with it at all. Someday.

Thanks guys.

Congrads that's a nice truck, well both of them. I'd like to have a 40's or 50's Dodge truck myself, maybe down the road a bit. My neighbor had a Buick just like that when I was growing up. [May still have it] I was thinking it had a small aluminium block V-8 in it, is that what that one came with?

Yes, the Buick came with a 215 aluminum V-8. It ran so damn well I struggled with doing the swap. The brakes, driveshaft and transmission all had major issues which ultimately made up my mind for me.

I'm really happy with the direction the Skylark is heading. I'm hoping to maybe drive it this summer.

I pressure washed the Dodge today. It really is in good shape. Who ever prepped the body for paint did a poor job, especially on the front clip. The rest of the paint hung on well.

I plan to have it running tomorrow. Then onto the brakes.

We'll see.

Running tomorrow?!

Hope it goes well, I know I'm jealous!
