mopar4life Posted January 31, 2011 Report Posted January 31, 2011 Is this a stock or aftermarket piece? driver side only? whatever ya know, I'd like to hear. Quote
Frank Elder Posted January 31, 2011 Report Posted January 31, 2011 Stock, both sides......passenger side is garnish only. Quote
greg g Posted January 31, 2011 Report Posted January 31, 2011 Optional Mopar Accessory, pretty rare and difficult to come by, the pass side is available but nearly impossible to see from a normal driving position. Quote

yourpc48 Posted January 31, 2011 Report Posted January 31, 2011 I see far more cars with the aftermarket peep door mirrors than I have seen with the mirrors in your picture. Quote
Dodgeb4ya Posted January 31, 2011 Report Posted January 31, 2011 The 2 piece mirror shown appears to be a Western auto or some other after market mirror. Didn't the 1946-8 P-15 cars use a optional 1 piece "Swan Neck" MoPar mirror with 2 studs and nuts that are hidden to fasten the mirror to the cowl in place of the stainless trim moulding? Dodge /DeSoto and Chrysler Swan Neck mirrors looked similar but used Phillips Fillister head screws to fasten the mirror to the cowl. Bob Quote
normanpitkin Posted January 31, 2011 Report Posted January 31, 2011 These come up on ebay sometimes ,some there now for $300 a pair!!! I bought a peep mirror for the drivers side for $20 instead but still hanker after the swan necks! Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted January 31, 2011 Report Posted January 31, 2011 though not mounted on the cowl chrome..these will mount cleanly on your car in a position that will make them truly an asset in driving..fair price and great look... you may be able to adapt these to the cowl trim..am not sure if these will require a bolt through the body at the cowl to account for the added weight..the cowl trim retainers would be a bit overloaded otherwise in my opinion.. http://www.speedwaymotors.com/Swan-Neck-Mirror,2262.html Quote
48P15Annie Posted January 31, 2011 Report Posted January 31, 2011 Mine had the mirrors on the doors. Even at that..can't see much out of the passenger side one. They look purdy though. Quote
