I wonder if the car was seriously hurt? Aside from the muffler what damage could it have. I have seen cars roll and land on there wheels and drive away(not me) My car oncwee rolled on it's side down a mud hill. tow truck pullit back and I drove it home. I guess your feeling sare hurt more than anything:rolleyes:

Rodney a good friend of mine told me how he and his brother would intentionall roll the old 49 plymouth 4dr that was laying around the farm. They would roll all the windows down and hit the ditches. If it landed on its roof they'd get out and shove it back over. He said they never broke a window and the doors always worked afterwards.

if you did this with any modern car, it would be totaled! the new ones are made of toilet paper, while all of ours are just plain steel! SAFETY MY ***!

I think this predates yours for the first verified case of unintended acceleration.

Tod, I think that one was delayed decelleration. The differennce being the location of the "OH S#!+". with the train it was uttered just before the damage, with the car immediatly after.

what about the Thor (BC) and his wheel as he rolled over the embankment..this predates all as he is accredited with the invention of the wheel...

I rolled my 66 Falcon years ago. Ended up upside down in a farmers field. The car was like that for hours, then flipped back over and towed to an impound lot. Next day showed up with a fresh battery, 6 quarts of oil and a can of gas and drove it home.....
