Jim Yergin Posted November 1, 2010 Report Posted November 1, 2010 Is this real ? Where is it ? Right next to a locked barn in Portugal? Jim Yergin Quote
RobertKB Posted November 1, 2010 Report Posted November 1, 2010 Gotta be faked as in photoshop. If that building was really abandoned all the glass would have been smashed long ago and the cars vandalized. Call me cynical but not cynical enough. Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted November 1, 2010 Report Posted November 1, 2010 (edited) That red Plymouth is a 1967 or 68 model. And I noticed a sign on another window mentioning Jeep. Did the Chrysler dealers sell Jeeps back then? Given how some people do things, I'd say this place might be real.....someone just storing a couple cars in there. Must be in a small town somewhere - where they haven't broken out the windows. The showroom area looks like it would only hold two or three cars. Might be in another country.....this name is in the "properties" part..... "carrosantigos" Edited November 4, 2010 by BobT-47P15 Quote

Young Ed Posted November 1, 2010 Report Posted November 1, 2010 Thats a 67 FYI. The other car is early to mid 70s. There is a dealer here that still has a few brand new cars of various years. Quote
Big_John Posted November 2, 2010 Report Posted November 2, 2010 I don't think Jeep was sold through Mopar dealers until after AMC was purchased in 1987. It was common for small town dealers to have a couple different car lines. My Dad bought a brand new 1968 Chrysler 300 from a dealer in Fulton, NY that sold Chrysler/Plymouth and Jeeps. There was a Studebaker dealer near me in Syracuse when I was a kid that also sold Mercedes Benz and Jeeps. Quote
Eneto-55 Posted November 2, 2010 Report Posted November 2, 2010 The dealer in our county seat sells Chysler & Dodge as well as Ford & Lincoln. That was REALLY weird to me when I moved here. You have to walk past all of the Fords in the showroom to get to the parts desk to buy the good MoPar stuff..... Quote
Captain Neon Posted November 2, 2010 Report Posted November 2, 2010 In our small town, one dealership sells it all. Ford, GM, and MoPar. Quote
P-12 Tommy Posted November 3, 2010 Report Posted November 3, 2010 Ed, You're right on the '67 Fury. The car next to it is either a '77 or '78 Fury. I had a retired '78 Fury Ohio State Highway Patrol car I bought in '83. 440 interceptor. It was pretty fast once you got it going. Tom Quote
