Well, Ontario is a province approaching 14 million residents, is Canada's most populated province, with 4 major cities, Toronto 5 million approx, Ottawa 1.2 million, Hamilton, and Windsor Across the river from Detroit.

It has a history of about 350 years, and was part of Canada settled first along with Quebec, earlier named Upper and Lower Canada.........

Hey Mackster, I'm down for that. Put 2" lowering blocks on my 4 door sedan, bought a pair of on top of the fender skirts that will make it look even lower. Maybe this weekend will swap out the front springs with some I bought on this forum (gotta love this forum)!!! Will take pics when installed. Re-wired everything, soooooo easy. Horn now works like it should, thank everybody for your help. Dash is fully functional as original. Don't shine on the outside but I LIKE IT!!!

the skirts look nice!

i wish it would be easier to get good looking skirts for the P10, the fender form is a difficult one to deal with...

richard, please post a picture of your 47! i would like to see your skirt solution as well!

It is my understanding that for most of the years in the 1930s when fender skirts were available that the only difference between those for Plymouth, Dodge, DeSoto and Chrysler was the decorative medallion. Maybe you can widen your search to include those cars that were more likely to be optioned out that a lowly Plymouth.

my problem is that i think most of the available skirts, bubble ones or others,

do not really fit the side line of the rear fender in an elegant way.

the P10/P11 rear fenders take quite a sharp downward turn at the end,

not as smooth as the models before them.

plus the rear end is a bit higher than the runningboard level, making it even more difficult in my eyes.

i am experimenting with different shapes here (see pics above),

but i just think it is not an easy bolt on operation but requires more work and thought than i

imagined before.

just my 2 cents...

and sorry, back to topic. this was about fog lights, not skirts...

MMMMMMMMMM Skirts!! Nice to see you more than casual Mack...you were gone for a while.:)

Thanks Frankie! I was MIA for a few months building o.t. cars...a VW bug and a nissan sentra...something to keep me busy and help me gather funds for this two cars! the plymouth is going first then back on the desoto! :)

Hmmmm.......can't tell much from the "with" picture.....got a better shot?.....edit.... I thought you were talking about the fog lites rather than the skirts. I guess this comment probably didn't make good sense.

Not sure I've seen a set of skirts shaped just like those.....are they

for a Plymouth?

richard, i like it with the skirts, although they're having a very special form.

i downloaded a great manual how to restore them from someone here on the board,

if anyone needs it send me an email!

Fred, you can send the files in PDF form to GTK and he can put your information in the download section of the website. did you use mineral oil or glycerin???

those appear to be overlay style skirts that fit flush to the body metal..is this correct...? If so, how proud is the skirt in relation to the body metal..not fond of overlays in general but these look good on the P15..I have a set of the "fiberglass" style that are inserted into the opening of the wheel well and fixed in place by the formed "U" channel built into the skirt..they are locked by two screws..

The skirts are made out of metal and sit on the fender. I bought them from a guy in Fremont who had a '47 Plymouth Coupe with an expensive paint job. They attach very nicely with a draw bar at the top with each end having slots for mounting hardware, which I have to make. I have thought of trying the fiberglass ones Tim mentioned and if I find a good deal on a pair, I might. Cpt. Fred, I agree with you on the patina. You should see my '47 coupe, same paint condition but a little more coverage. Thanks All.

i have to say, though, i did not already restore the compass. like i wrote, it has still to be done. but i thing there was something about glycerine in the file?

wait untill tomorrow, i'll find it!

richard: you're right: i should see your coupe... post pics!:D i'm sure i'll like what i see!

good night all...

fred
