That looks a lot like my Kingsway. Is that what you guys call a Meadowbrook? For $0.99 I'd buy it straight away. Hydrive, is that an overdrive?

FYI, the split front guards were used here on DeSoto & Plymouth while the Dodge had the 1 piece guards. And different tail lights. Looks like it has the original MoPar radio in it as well. Cool!

Incidentally, the steering wheel is on the wrong side...

No in 53 that should be a cambridge or cranbrook. They also had belvederes but as a 4dr I don't think it can be one. For Louie even though your car might be plymouth bodied it still used the dodge nameplates or some of them had unique names.

Reg you're slipping. Or else you're trying to horde the 40 dodge pickup that they also have listed. That 53-54 R pickup does look like fun though.

They did have four door Belvederes in '53. I know because I have one. If that car was close to me I would buy it without hesitation.

They must have expanded the belvedere name for 53 then. In 51-52 it was the 2dr hardtop only.

Hydrive is ply version of fluid drive.

Not exactly. Hydrive shares oil with the engine. Changing oil in a hydrive car requires something like 11 quarts. Of course with that much oil in there you don't need to change it as often. You could sort of describe it as the next generation of fluid drive.

You're right, they are great old cars. Just wish I hadn't put the Langdon headers on it.

Why don't you like the Langdon headers ?

Too close to the fuel pump & fuel line. Perfectly good electric choke gone. Heater duct destroyed by the shop that installed them.

OK, so it sounds nice, but if I had it to do over I wouldn't.

There-in is the problem. Did you hold the shop responsible? If you had to do it over again would you do the work yourself?

Three thoughts I employed when I built my car and I have said this many times.

1) If you want it done correctly do it your self!

2) Failure is not an option!

3) Repeat steps number one and two.
