  1. You don't have to kneel, just bend over.
  2. I got mine at the Hoosier Swap meet several years ago. It was made by an electric shop in Terre Haute whise name I forget now. I'll see if I can find the tag from it. It does a great job and is probably the reason my battery has lasted 8 years now. I once metered it at 73 amps, but only for a few seconds before it backed off some. Wow, I found it ! Weust Auto Electric 1407 1st Ave. Terre Haute, IN. 47807 PH. 812.243.8582 or 800.283.1298 Keep in mind this was several years ago.
  3. I have been using one for several years now, best thing since sliced bread.
  4. My money is on 38's
  5. From this distance it looks like both right side door handle return springs are missing or broken. Can this be? I'm not that familiar with 41's, but isn't the horn ring supposed to be a full circle ? Yes, I do enjoy my nit-picking, but when somebody says 100 pt, they're kinda asking for it.
  6. I have had a few people argue with me about what year the car is. One lady probably still thinks I am nuts because she was certain my p-15 was a 1938. Its best to just let people talk because they are enjoying it so much.
  7. Norm, you know how you can tell a rich boy from Kentucky, from a poor boy from Kentucky? A rich boy has TWO cars jacked up on his lawn.
  8. Fireball, with a great looking family, a really cool car, and the best part of your life just ahead of you, we, the old fogeys of the forum, don't want to hear ANY complaints from you about anything !
  9. I don't know what I've spent, I don't wanna know what I spent, I don't care what I spent. I just enjoy having what I spent it on.
  10. Congratulatons Norm. Things will get better everyday now even when you think they can't. Its been over five years for me and I am still constantly amazed at how wonderful life can be without that nasty four letter word "work". Nothing is work if you want to do it. Enjoy.
  11. Those are original "Air-Lifts". You're supposed use the in the rear for load levelers, and you can inflate them unequally to level a car or help prevent wheel hop.
  12. Sittin' on the sideline waitin' for this thread to end.
  13. Dashpot adjustment on a semi-auto transmission carb?
  14. I believe DeSoto Frank has it right, the new gas will dry up faster than you think. Pour some on your workbench and watch it go away. But, if you really cheap, like me, remember what you did as a kid and didn't have money for fancy new parts. This is foolproof and free. Take the gas cap off, seal you face to the filler pipe and blow as hard as you can 3 times, then hold the pressure for the count of 15. Get in and start it. The only problem is releasing the pressure without swallowing or inhaling it. Say,,,,, maybe thats my problem. No kidding, it does work.
  15. He's known around here as "Andy Bomb Brain". Thats not a good thing.
  16. The oak pieces are 1"x2 1/4"x 54". Nylon webbing from a sproting goods store, metal strapping about 1 1/2" wide. 1/4" nuts and bolts. a couple lengths of 1/2" thinwall conduit, and the elusive suction cups. Nice little project when you really don't want to mow the lawn. Don't forget the diagonal corner braces.
  17. O, to be in England.
  18. Sounds like its running about as good as its going to. I call part of its "character". Also, don't fix it if it ain't broke. I have not seen a 6 volt motor that will swap into a p-15, but that doesn't mean they dont exist. I'm sure there are people out there looking for one a lot harder than I am.
  19. I use one of those wooden roof racks every once in a while. I carried paneling and styrofoam insulation when I did my basement walls. It is one of the wooden slat types you are looking for. I found it at a rummage sale for a couple bucks. I made sides for it from thinwall conduit so my boat fits up there nice. If you find a source for new suction cups, buy plenty, no such thing as too many spares.
  20. Central52, what do you mean by "doesn't run continuously steady"? When vacuum wipers are working right, they don't run steady. Any change in the engine vacuum has an effect on the wiper speed. Mine will stop on heavy acceleration and run really fast going downhill. If they run steady at idle, there probably isn't anything wrong. Lubing the linkage and towers wouldn't hurt anything either.
  21. Do I also need to remove the rocker panel trim? It looks like it is connected to the fender.
  22. Congratulations Shaggyman on making a good deal. keep us up on your progress. Maybe I will get inspired to do something about mine.
  23. Throttle linkage got caught on something like a plug wire? Return spring caught? I wouldn't drive it until I figured that out.
  24. Happy birthday Bob. Nowhere is it written that you have to grow up. So far I have avoided it altogether and I hit that 65 last week. Party on !
  25. I saw them on the rack at a TSC, I think they were about $10.
