  1. Now that Norm has brought up Leno's JayWalking segment, I'm getting fired up. Its gotten so that I can't watch it when he does it. It just makes me mad. Those people are so stupid I don't see how they find their way home at night and yet they are allowed to vote and have kids. Some of them claim to be college students too. The last time I saw it I muttered to my wife that maybe Hitler was right about one thing, eliminate the idiots. Sorry, thats why I can't watch it. Gonna make me shoot my TV.
  2. http://chicago.craigslist.org/nwi/cto/997521444.html I know nothing about this. I don't even know where kirklin indiana is and don't care. I just thought y'all need a laugh.
  3. '36 chevy ?
  4. Hoooowheeeee, that was worth waiting for, eh?
  5. Rodney, I missed you. It was too quiet. Its good to hear from you.
  6. Congratulations ! You and your car deserve to be there no matter how it happens.
  7. Thats why we called my 55 Buick "Dagmar"
  8. I would bet its GM.
  9. I got to see one in a museum a couple of years ago. It was a cut-away unit that would slowly rotate so you could see the parts move. The actual combustion point was, I think, 15 degrees off TDC so it wouldn't lock itself up. They were developed for naval use in WWII and afterwards were, and still are, used in railroad locomotives. I've studied it for hours and still can't believe they could design something like that. I guess you gotta see it in real life.
  10. Thats what it is, Greg. I recognize the bracket that holds it out of the way of the suspension. Maybe he ran over it and picked it up.
  11. It looks like it would work for the oil pressure guage, and that would explain the small hole in one end. But, off the front end ???
  12. Follow this link to see the dangdest motor I've ever seen. http://www.wis.co.uk/justin/deltic-engine.html
  13. Radial tires, and an alternator are high on my list.
  14. That depends on what its in, but usually yes. You may have to drop the steering linkage, but after that, its not bad just to change the pan gasket. The thing is, you're gonna want to change that rear main seal while your in there. Thats just another little project.
  15. It has dropped to -16 since my last post. According to the channel 9 weatherman, it is 45 degrees in Anchorage. Whats wrong with this picture?
  16. As I type, its ten below zero here in northwest Indiana. I think I smell Canadian bacon.
  17. Claims that this will improve your gas mileage of "at 25%", have the ring of snake oil. If it actually worked, it would be factory equipment.
  18. It would be fitting for someone called "powerhouse" to be pictured with a light bulb coming on over their head.
  19. If you can put the trans in any gear with the engine running, let the clutch out and not kill the engine, you have a fluid drive.
  20. Is that dogs name "Nipper"? My experience has been that theses horns require at least #10 gauge wire and absolutely perfect grounds. Jumper wires with aligator clips will not work. Try making a dedicated ground wire to the battery just for testing purposes. And stuff a rag in the one thats working, just for the neighbors sake.
  21. IMHO, You have more of a ring blow-by problem than a pcv problem. No crankcase should have that much pressure in it. That may have been the cause of your tappet cover leaks in the first place, along with all the odor you experienced. If you plug the breather pipe with a dense filter and don't have a pcv valve with enough capacity to pull all that blow-by out, you're gonna have some serious presure build up in the crankcase. Again, IMHO.
  22. Just lucky, I guess.
  23. 52 Plymouth Cranbrook with a 25" 230, I'm guessing.
