  1. I'm going to use a tintable undercoat on the bottom of mine. Make it the same color as the final color I've picked out. Looking good so far. Takes time and patience.
  2. Doors are at 220 with a primer coat on top ready for 400 grit. On to the rear fenders.
  3. there's at least two different lengths.
  4. I'm not brave enough but I do agree.
  5. as promised. I don't know why the last photo isn't upright. Tried everything to fix it. Sorry.
  6. the final, (hopefully), coat of primer filler is on. I'm leaving the body at this stage and will work on the fenders, doors, hood and smaller stuff to get all to the same point. Photos tomorrow. The shop is a bit hazy right now.
  7. Some photos posted on Vintage MoPar - 1930's-1950's of some very nice looking Mopars.
  8. Looking very sharp. Getting final paint down is exciting. I can't wait. Getting close.
  9. In Alaska this morning it's a sunny 34F. Has been upper 20's to 40 since new year. nice job by the way.
  10. Bernbaum is under new ownership now.
  11. Nice. I just sold a custom Ruger #1 in .500 nitro express. Gold inlays and all. Used to own a blackhawk in 30 carbine. First revolver I ever owned.
  12. I converted my 47 to rear to disc. Used an AAJ kit. easy and no problems.
  13. unbolting, moving back, marking holes, and drilling. Use really large washers or make a large brace under the floor,
  14. Sanded down to 220 grit. Take care of a few low spots and then the last coat of primer/filler and sand down to 320. Then on to the fenders, doors and hood. My shop looks like a 1920's Oklahoma dust storm hit it.
  15. Ulu nice rifle. I collect pre WW II sporting rifles. Mainly English Mausers and Mannlichers. Took my largest moose, (64"), with a 1913 English Mauser in .404 Jeffery.
  16. keep looking on ebay they do pop up.
  17. it should be easy to move after you get all those parts. Nothing left but frame and body. lol

  19. Anders I bought my cowl trim and mounts off of ebay. The mounts weren't too expensive but the trim is in the OMG range.
  20. great deals. I'd buy the rear bumper but mine is a Dodge.
  21. Not the same place. I heard that it was sold to a large parts buyer/distributor.
  22. I've seen engine blocks used as mooring anchors. Plant it, hook up a bouy to find it again and you have an instant mooring point.
  23. Coming along Paul.
  24. I would have bought a lot of patch panels from you 1 year ago.
  25. My guess is that you are correct. They are too large.
