  1. I had a few shetlands gowing up. Never made the transition to full size.
  2. seems really high

  4. started on the rust replacment.
  5. tks will work on it more tomorrow
  6. If the sheetmetal is reinstalled it will be difficult to eyeball and check if the frame is square. Check the welds really good. Many people call themselves welders that aren't.
  7. It worked fine up until 2 weeks ago. gauge is grounded through the screws to the cluster box and then to the body. I can check on the tank.
  8. Right now tank is about 3/4 to 2/3 full. At both the top of the sending unit and the back of the gauge both mounted in car I am reading 17ish ohms. Original gauge reads below empty, the NOS that I just installed reads just off of E.
  9. I've searched but come up with over 100 non fuel gauge results. Is there a way to test the 3 post 47 Dodge fuel gauge on the bench? Still cannot get mine to work. The sending unit is new and sends 0 - 20 ohms on multimeter.
  10. Usually the grease inside solidifies over time. Might just need a clean out and regreased. https://sites.google.com/site/willyscj2ajeep/home/trico-wiper-motor
  11. barns have some great old timbers in them. When I was a teenager I salvaged an old barn in NW Missouri. 8"x8" beam were all made of local walnut. Salvaged 72 beams out of it.
  12. done with most of the boring tedious stuff. As soon as the floor pans and rockers get here the rust replacement will begin. Still tedious doing all that welding but not as boring as sandblasting.
  13. really good to hear
  14. Thanks Dodgeb4ya.
  15. can the oil pan be dropped with the engine in the car? 47 Dodge.
  16. got most of the blasting done.
  17. I used scarebird on the front and AAJ on the rear of my 47. Neither needed any thing except wrenches to install.
  18. Flat black doesn't sell all that well. It looks as if it's leaking something also.
  19. I agree with wayfarer, the 7 pass are limos
  20. What's up with those headlights? Downsizing?
  21. Photos of what you've done please. We enjoy seeing these cars made to drive again.
  22. That will work. If it comes off years from now just redo it. It's a lot harder to make straight lines on the chrome than it looks. I'm going to take my hubcaps to a pro as soon as I find one that will do it. My paint job looks terrible.
  23. I'm still sandblasting the body. The inside, bottom, firewall and one side is finished. Had to take a detour and finish some other things. Worked on it yesterday and will continue today. Will take a video when it's done most likely 2 or 3 days.
  24. My engine problems at 50mph turned out to be a weak spring on the points. Allowed them to bounce. New points with new spring and presto runs great now.
  25. gorge and enjoy
