  1. it's been approximately 45 second wind time.
  2. I just took it apart to watch it run. When the contacts connect the kick given to the winder is so small that it senses that it need to wind it again. Will check contacts and springs on the winder mechanism.
  3. It just came back from cleaning/repair for the second time. I sent it back because of the same issue before.
  4. I wonder where this is now. Neat but I'd want some kind of bubble top over the passenger compartment.
  5. I hooked it to a battery on the bench before I installed it this time because it did the same thing the first time he sent it back. If I connect either post to the wire with the fuse built in and the other post to the either the case or the other wire it does the same noise but will eventually wind and start running. I just don't think it's correct to hear that noise and a slight smell coming from it. I'll post a video with sound in a few hours.
  6. The only diagram that I have that shows the wiring of the clock says that the red is hot and the yellow is ground. The original wires on my clock are yellow and white. It just came back from being cleaned/repaired and if I hook up the wire with the fuse to hot and the other to ground the electric winder mechanism makes a bad noise.
  7. Use of the inside door handle is suppose to unlock if it's a push one way to lock and pull the other to open like my 47. The shaft on my door locks was loose. I believe it's made that way.
  8. wow. glad that you found the problem anyway.
  9. I'm running original 16" wheels with my scarebird front disc and AAJ rear disc setup. I'm running stock MC.
  10. I think that I got mine off of ebay but it's the same as the one Don shows. https://www.amazon.com/EMPI-Universal-Bubble-Carburetor-Synchronizer/dp/B003LIX3WK/ref=sr_1_12?ie=UTF8&qid=1530003118&sr=8-12&keywords=carburetor+synchronizer+tool
  11. Oil gauge? On 2nd glance it's too large I think for the gauge. Maybe gas or brake.
  12. I just replaced mine 2 days ago. I used Andy's.
  13. Bob my inquiring mind wants to know. Does it sound different with split back into one compared to single all the way?
  14. I didn't take any.
  15. The seats weren't done but looked as if everything else had been.
  16. Went to the local car show today. Okay time. Saw this nice 51 I believe Newport.
  17. D6 G1 F7 are what's on the two that I bought as a set from George.
  18. Two cherry bombs on split exhaust. I'll look at the model numbers for you in a bit.
  19. I"d say that the red one most likely has a metal inside the plastic coating.
  20. I'm getting 60lbs at cold start up with 30wt. Once it warms up I have 20 when driving at 55mph and 0 at 30 and below. Engine has only 5 or 6 hours on it.
  21. I had to change the rubber hose part of the oil line to the pressure gauge. None of the line had oil in it. I've been getting funny reading on the gauge as well. Should I unhook the line at the gauge, put a hose on the line and run it out of the car, and then start it to get oil into the line?
  22. I would doubt it.
