  1. The tank on the 53 looks a bit different than the earlier ones and mounts with the rear flange under the frame. I'm not quit sure how the forward flange with the springs attaches. There are no reference photos in the shop manual.
  2. I'm in the process of cleaning my tank and was able to find the springs and spacers at Ace.
  3. The truck is sitting on the springs but I haven't set the pinion angle yet so that could resolve the problem.
  4. Mine was built there also
  5. Well I think the next step is a T5
  6. My truck was made in late 52 and is registered as a 52 but states B4B on the door plate (1953).
  7. I recently put a cherokee rear axle in my truck for the better ratio and modern brakes. My problem is that the DS won't slide back 3/4" so I can bolt it to the rear end. Shouldn't it slip off the front yoke or is it limited by a clip or nut? I couldn't find the correct info in the shop manual (yes Don, I do own one). So has anyone run into this issue? Thanks
  8. Those are definitely 53 B4B fenders but I think if your truck is a 52 it should be a B3B
  9. The price on those seems a little steep
  10. Are you considering an axle swap from a cherokee for a better ratio and modern brakes?
  11. Here is a resource I used to find mine. http://www.moog-suspension-parts.com/universal_outer_tie_rod_ends.asp
  12. Here is a link to a tank used by several people on this site. Also do a search on this forum for previous posts. http://www.tanksinc.com/index.cfm/page/ptype=product/product_id=349/category_id=68/mode=prod/prd349.htm
  13. Another thing you might do is file off any rough spots on the pinch weld which may damage the seal during installation.
  14. Were you doing that on a table top?
  15. Lets hear it for the Arizona Dodge Squad!
  16. I don't know about c series trucks but on a b series champions cc4749 radiator worked with a little bit of bracket fabbing. It was a slightly shorter but other wise is fine.
  17. . That looks how guys from Nevada handle dopey drivers
  18. Would it be impractical to run the fuel line over the transmission and down the passenger side to the fuel pump? Has anyone done this?
  19. Give me a P, give me an A, give me a T, give me an I, give me an N, uh Alex I'd like to buy a vowel, give me an A. What's that spell?
  20. The crease would show where it wraps around the side and I believe the bed is the same from the pre '48 trucks.
  21. I think the photo or truck has been modified/altered. There is no vent window on the drivers door but one on the passenger side, the shading shows the roll of the sheet metal under the rear window but not on the body line, also a slight line at the lower cab indents may be a scratch or fold on the photo. The light source and clarity of the images of the children seems inconsistent. More photos?
  22. Except for the windshield all my glass is tempered. You have plenty of options with colors.
  23. On my Steele gasket the holes lined up fine.
