  1. Is anyone in so cal going to the LA Roadster Show Father's Day weekend? There generally may not be much in the way of flathead dodge trucks but nice street rods and a fairly large swap meet. I'll be at the Oldies Glass booth in building 4 (?) about half way down on the west side. Stop by to say hey. Gary
  2. I don't think he torched them, it looks like he removed several. You should have 6 or 7 leaves per side.
  3. Interior rear view mirror and mount for b4b?
  4. Paul, is that the stock steering wheel? Gary
  5. One suggestion for a surface preservative is Briwax. Comes in a natural tone or in various colors from black, brown, rust, red etc. Easy to remove if you decide to paint later.
  6. The angle of the driveshaft isn't important as long as the trans and rear are the set the same.
  7. Are all of your wheels now 7" wide and is Wheelsmith the shop that did it? They look fabulous! Gary
  8. . Re: photo of engine with alternatorHey Jeff, are you using a separate voltage gauge or did you modify the stock one? Gary
  9. The rear fenders are correct for a '53 but I'm not sure about the bed. If you swap a cherokee rear end you gain the larger drum brakes or disc brakes and parking brake, also use the cherokee master cylinder for a modern split system. Rusty Hope for disc brake conversion up front. http://rustyhope.com/site/ List the tire/wheel size when you can. Gary
  10. What size tires and wheels are you running? Great stance!
  11. The little wedge shaped dealio that helps align the door when it closes?
  12. This site has all kinds of lights http://www.taillightking.com/
  13. Perhaps you're not that excited about faux patina because you haven't seen it done well. Went to the GNRS in Pomona 2 weeks ago and saw several examples of poorly done faux.
  14. I believe Speedway Motors has them for $50 a pair. Gary
  15. The steering arms are fine using dropped tie rod ends and modifying the drag link
  16. I followed Paul's lead and took the next to the lowest leaf out and dropped 2" then reversed the spring eyes and lost another 1", wanted a little more so installed a 3" dropped axle and it sits just right, next is disc brakes up front and a cherokee rear axle.
  17. Old age is when it's good to wake up on the wrong side of the bed versus waking up on the wrong side of the grass
  18. Before and after photos of my rear bumper and tailgate. Yeah I know some of you purists won't appreciate it but I think Patina Paul will. Faux rust
  19. Here's mine. Trying again to post photo Well if that didn't work I'll have to get one of my kids to help me.
  20. Hey Jeff, come on over to Arizona, plenty of great weather and we don't believe in that goofy daylight savings time.
  21. Flat glass is inexpensive, the windshield will be made of laminated glass and the doors and rear window can be laminated or tempered. A shop that's been around for years may still have the patterns or they can work from your current parts. I have a source in California that will ship but would think you could find something closer.
  22. Is there a repop horn button available that is just the center button and not the ring?
  23. Thanks Paul, I like the look of your truck with the amber lenses and am inspired to pursue the patina route with my truck. Thanks again
  24. Hey guys (and gals?), did dodge make amber lenses for the b4b or has anyone found a comparable substitute? Mine are clear and I would prefer the amber ones. Also could use new bezels, any suggestions? Thanks, Gary
