  1. So it looks like dodge went to traditional steering on the '55 model which is different than the cross steering on the '53. The axle seems similar but your drag link attaches to the drivers side while on cross steering it attaches to the passenger side. Will be interesting to see how this works out.
  2. Steele seems to be slipping with their quality.
  3. Definitely a nice setup!
  4. Yeah nice! 45 seems a little rare.
  5. I think the half ton came with 6.00 x 16. You can get that from Coker.
  6. Here is the kit I got to make an intermediate cable. Will tackle it in the next few days.
  7. I ordered a cable that can be cut to length, should be in today. Does any body have an idea how much the cable has to travel to engage the e-brake? I can't imagine it would be more than a couple inches.
  8. There is a "yoke" that mounts both cables with a centered hole for equal pull of the brakes. I'll have to look for a suitable length cable to connect with the dash handle. Thanks guys!
  9. The under dash handle is still connected to the lever on the trans and was hoping to use that with a 1/4" or 5/16" rod going back to the two brake cables?
  10. This question is for those of you who have installed a newer rear axle and are using that for your e-brake rather than the original trans mounted brake. I want to keep the under dash mounted handle and connect it with the rear axle brake cables. What are some of the solutions you fellers came up with over yonder? Any help will be appreciated! Gary
  11. Wiped the dust off, pushed it out of the garage. In the middle of putting new wood in the bed, rewiring and hooking up the e-brake.
  12. Hey Paul, looks like your trucks doppelgänger!
  13. I have to agree the quality on the Steele windshield and rear window gaskets is really lacking.
  14. Those look a little small compared to the smudge pots used to protect the orange trees from freezing in so cal.
  15. I'll give it a go as soon I locate one.
  16. The A833 overdrive seems like a good deal, I'm just not sure the local pick a part has that many older mopars come through. It will be something to keep an eye out for. Most of the vehicles that show up there are generally not much more than twenty years old.
  17. What was the last year of manufacture of the A 833 and what were they available on.
  18. Don, do you have a part # for that brake switch?
  19. I don't know about "cactus" , but if you put your carby on the barby it'll be toast!
  20. Try this .http://www.tanksinc.com/index.cfm/page/ptype=results/category_id=68/mode=cat/cat68.htm
  21. I would say that grade 8 couldn't hurt since the u bolts hold it together once it's installed.
  22. That is a good looking truck!
  23. My number is on the out side of the left frame rail between the front bumper and axle. Your results may vary.
  24. As soon as I get a chance I'll post some.
  25. I put a Champion in my B4B and removed the bracket off the original rad and modified it for the new one. Slightly smaller but seems fine to me. May need to trim the angled top tube on the replacement rad.
