    Have you checked with Vintage Auto Parts http://www.vapinc.com ? In their worm gear section they note "If the one you need is not listed, 1934-60, call us. We have a few loose worm gears. We will need to know the stamped number on the gear itself." Might get lucky...

    Plug your vacuum advance line at the carb base and see if the miss stops. I would also check the intake for vacuum leaks.

    Test photo upload from ipad, used the camera take a pic of our newest household member. Use "More reply options" and after selecting the image make sure you tap on "Attach this file" as that is what does the upload to the site. I'm using a 2nd gen iPad with IOS a 8.1
