  1. After our most recent system/security upgrade the third party package used for classified ads was completely incompatible with the new system software. The publisher of the classified package appears to be aware of the issue as an early beta release to fix the problem was posted. That was over six months ago and I tried contacting for an update to the products status. Since I have had no response after several weeks I'm assuming the package is abandoned and he has no interest in upgrading the product. I have created a temporary work around by creating two forums for classified ads. Please follow the rules and if you have any questions/issues with placing an ad contact me at info@p15-d24.com. The forum software vendor (IPS) has scheduled a major product upgrade for early 2025. (V4 to V5.x) The good news is a a highly regarded third party publisher has announced he will be releasing classified ad system with the V5 release. I currently use 4 or 5 of his products and have been very satisfied with the quality and support he has provided.
  2. For Sale ads will cost $4.99 for 30 days and are deleted after 30 days. To place a For Sale ad... First, post your ad in the For Sale Classified Ads The ad will not appear until after payment is made. Next make your payment by purchasing a "For Sale Classified Ad 30 Day Subscription". in the Store When payment notification is completed your For Sale ad will be approved and run for 30 days.
  3. Today's update has resulted in several changes short and long term. Most importantly the Classified section is currently not available because of some incompatible code that literally crashes the site. IPS is the vendor that supplies the core software for the site, including the forums, downloads, gallery, blog, and store. As a result when an upgrade is done the optional modules will work without any issues. Other features like the links and classified page are from third party suppliers. Unfortunately the author for the classified section has not updated his code to work with current version, and ISP server environment and it causes a fatal issue. They have a new version in beta but I'm concerned about the long term viability (and interest) of the publisher and will be switching to a different publisher for the classified functionality. If you has a paid ad running and didn't get your full 30 days, contact me (info@p15-d24.com) and I will get you a free ad when the new software is up in running. The bigger issue to consider is while many "neat" add ons are available add-on software support becomes a critical problem when the original publisher loses interest or just doesn't make enough money to be worth his time.
  4. Nobody mentioned the everydry kits?
  5. Not the way I like to start a Sunday morning.... For some reason a section of the database had a corruption error. Usually this is a quick fix but ran into some additional issues while trying to do the repair. Looks good now and hopefully won't happen again. It has been years since the last time something like this happened so that is was I'm hoping for 😉

  7. These donations go a long way in filling in the financial gaps as the hosting and software fees continue to rise over time! Ads provide the bulk of the financial support but donations top off the pot to keep it going for another year. Sniper, thank you again for your generous support!
  8. OK I'm going to let this stay so you can get a gauge on how much interest for this kind of service might exist. However if you proceed this needs too be in there Classified section as a paid ad unless your going to offer the service for free.
  9. Where I live it's constant battle with rats and mice getting into our cars and ATVs. (And don't get me started on gophers in the lawn!) I set traps all around, mix up the baits and knock them back for a while, then they start back. We have plenty of predators: owls, snakes (including diamond backs) cats and dogs which all do their share, but they still show up. I think you just have to be proactive all the time. The YouTube traps using baking soda and like a corn bread mix actually seem to work but like all traps you have to keep the bait fresh. And as Plymouthy said you have rats/mice, you will have snakes.
  10. Another Milwaukee user. M18 only however. I do have one of the earlier Milwaukee Nicad battery units and it was useless. Also have an old Chicago Pneumatic gun which still works! Good set of videos by Project Farm on YouTube testing tools, check out
  11. ISP reported an attempted attack from locations in the Far East. Apparently the IP addresses were very familiar to the ISP from other attempted attacks on other sites they host. Blocked them in mass and everything seems to have settled back to normal! 😀
  12. If you get an email saying your password is expiring do not click on the link. It is a phishing attack attempting to get your login information. We do not have a password expiration policy at this site so ignore and delete any such emails. I do recommend setting a unique password for this site, and using a unique passwords for other sites you visit. I also recommend using the two factor authorization option on your account for additional security.
  13. for his recent forum donation! These really help keeping the site online as our cost are going up just like everything else. Also thank you for being an active forum participant as the information sharing is what helps all members, Thank you!
  14. It sticks around for 30 days in the wanted section, plus an announcement is automatically posted in the forum announcements. When a user clicks on the "Unread Content" link if will then appear in the stream.
  15. Second that thought. Never saw a plug blow apart on a flathead till I had three Champion plugs do it over two days. Switched to AC and never had another issue, same with the NGK which I also use in all my small engines, ATVs and motorcycle.
  16. Best to post a parts wanted ad in the classified section. It's free.
  17. Forum started in 1998 on some open source forum software. Was pretty buggy and required a lot of time to keep it working. Basically as the number of posts grew the index would get corrupted and have to start over. Remember the forum updates when we started anew?? Then went to a commercial product, I think it was vbulletin. I think they got bought and then support got pricey. Started looking for another solution and ended up going with Invision, partially because they had tools to migrate from the previous vendor. Migration was a pain, but got it done. Invision has maintained a fair price structure and is good about bug fixes and security updates. Support has also been good. They are reducing some of their features like the store for physical item sales, which is going away very soon. They don't think they can compete in that market with all the other marketplace solutions available. Same was true of the chat function. FYI additional security with the ISP has been implemented and guest access is again available.

    Pets

Our current girls and are best friends! Roxie on the left, Queensland-Aussie mix, and Sunny, 100% Heinz 57 mutt! One suggestion after some substantial previous vet bills with one of our other dogs is get pet insurance. Cost is easily offset when you have those unexpected emergencies. Both my wife and I have had cats and dogs our entire lives and I don't see how you can live without them!
  19. but your email address keeps bouncing. If you can sign on try sending a Private Message, if not do you have another email address?
  20. for your recent generous forum donation! These really help with keeping the site running. Thank you again!
  21. The second set of questions you are being asked are the questions you set up for two factor authentication. If you don't answer the questions exactly correct it will fail. Good hint is use just a single word, not a phrase that requires the exact spacing to pass. Also the answer is case sensitive so if you forget a capital letter it will fail. I suggest using a single word all lower case just to keep it simple. If you want I can turn off two factor authentication so you can reset it with new words if desired. Just email your request to info@p15-d24.com.
  22. Can you send me a screen shot of the project request? There is no request for a project set up in any of the log in procedures.
  23. The vendor for the forum software changed the log in method to requiring registration email address instead of username a couple updates back. The reason is it is more secure. Remember your username is visible in the forums while your registration email is not.
  24. Need to use your registration email address, not user name.
