  2. Only admins or moderators have that access. However if you want full control of a thread sign up for a blog. You then have the option to approve what gets posted before it is published.
  3. The site has been online now for over 20 years! Our average uptime for the last 6 months has been 99.96%. We are rapidly approaching 11,000 registered members. In November 2019 we had a record 4.68 million hits, with the site averaging over 4.5 million hits for the last 12 months. The great thing for me is in the last 20 years I have had to permanently ban less than 5 members total! They shows the respect for our fellow members even when we disagree. I've tried to make it easier for new members to sign up but we still have to have some security tests in place to stop the omnipresent spammers. What I hope to see in 2020 is more members providing reference material we can store and share in the Downloads section. Basically building a vintage library reference center for all to use for free. And we have some new feature planned for 2020 so keep checking back. Lastly, like everything else, costs keep going up. Now the site is on a larger dedicated server with additional security to make sure you have a responsive and safe browsing experience. (We sometimes see up to 500 users online at a time) If you would like to help the site financially consider buying a logo cap or P15-D24 decal, or making a donation. Just click on the Store tab and make you choices. And let me know if there are any specific enhancements you would like to see. Lastly everyone have a great 2020!
  4. Nothing better than fresh gopher in the morning... Ok. I'll stop ?
  5. Julius at work... Him helping with one of the woodpeckers destroying my house rafter tails! Also caught 2 gophers and one mouse this week. And yes that was him growling at me. IMG_0043.mov
  6. Show your shop cats! Sounds like a purrrfect idea to me!
  7. Been a few years for me also. If I remember correctly you will need the puller to get the input shaft out after removing the snap ring. Also the thrust washers on the cluster gear go in a specific order. Check your manual/parts book. Grease on the needle bearing with a dummy shaft is the only way to go!
  8. If I remember correctly a really good external snap ring pliers, a large gear puller and maybe a press if you need to swap any bearings. If you are going in to do the synchro I would do a full overhaul with new small parts kit and possible bearings.
  9. First, replace that battery hold down strap with a proper one. It is a dead short waiting to happen. I prefer AC or Autolite plugs. Make sure the ignition is set up correctly,.including the vac and mechanical advances working. If you still have an issue rebuild the carb. Stock will work fine if it is in proper working condition. I'm sure someone else will chime in with the spec for points and plugs.
  10. Hollander's Interchange book.
  11. How long was Don on the forum? Screen shots from the very first Forum #1, with Don on page 4!
  12. Which is why pulling one to find out what you really have is the best way!
  13. B and C models had different spline counts. Really need to pull the existing and make sure the 3/4 axle wasn't swapped at some point with a 1/2 ton axle assembly. Yes, I know this from experience! ?
  14. Very sad news, will be missed.
  15. That URL is from a couple servers ago that no longer exist. Best bet is to use goggle to search for the topic: site: p15-d24.com topic I'm searching
  16. a bunch of images in articles in the Technical and Reference sections. They are now fixed.

  17. Get the right tool(s) for the snap rings and bearing puller. Then order a small parts kit cause if you gone this far go ahead and finish the job. Can't remember if the bearing come with snap rings or you need to pick them up separately.
  18. Pretty hard to decipher but from an old manual.
  19. Wow!!!!
  20. They have clutch pans to protect the ring gear.
  21. Along with Tod and a few others we got the "original" GSR started. As Tod mentioned their may be many reasons it stalled out but something to think about: one the charter of POC is bone stock. Most of us end up doing mods along the way. Second, it always falls to a couple "sparkpugs" to keep things going. They burn out when others don't step up and take over the next phase in leadership. Figure those out and it may have sustainability! Good luck and if the site can help let me know.
  22. Post the casting numbers on the side. Their is a list of them in the Downloads section.
