  9. #BER ELEVEN!!!!! NUMBER 11!!!!! Freakin' #11 IWOYTD!!! This year it will be on MAY 14th The Five Rules: 1. Work on your Truck. Not a Hybred, not a Moepee'd , not a Ferd or a Chevee......well, unless any of them are a truck, then I guess its Ok. 2. Report what you did to the Forum.....not the girl at the post office, she doesn't care, she's just trying to get the junk mail sent to you. 3. Post a picture of what you did. Its all good, sitting in it counts.....but at least hold a hammer or something. 4. Explain how you got the truck, what inspires you about it. 5. Try to share the days experience as soon as you can!!! Sharing is caring!!!.....Believe it or not, your story could inspire one of us to get back to it! Your story could help build another truck!!! Good luck!!!! PLAN FOR THE DAY!!! Bonus rule: 6. Show us a few pictures of what you plan to work on before the big day. 48D
  10. I am so sorry.....you have my condolences. Frank always made me laugh with some of his posts. Tim aka 48Dodger
  11. I've chopped a ton of wood, but I've never thrown axes before. I threw so many bullseyes, that they (wife and friends) stopped counting and started talking about me going pro....lol. Musta been the truck. 48D
  12. I have found a few with plugs.....but it has been pointed out to me (I think Merle ?) that they look to be "Facet Hole covers"...super common. But they might be original to the design, but the jury is still out my opinion. 48D
  13. I think you meant to say " ....seems like the B1-B2's are better then the B3 and 4's. " I'll get the moderator to fix it. 48D
  14. "whittle-it-yerself special"....lol. I think that makes up about 90% of the rescued trucks I have around my place ? 48D
  15. I've been a member for years. It's mainly for vintage semi's and 1.5 ton on up. BUT working trucks of any wieght can be allowed if authentic. I met Jim Shepard at a ATHS show back in 2006 at the Shenandoah Valley,Ca meet. It was the main inspiration for the Clement Tailgate BBQ. 48D

  19. Time to show some bling from the past get togethers...... SHOW US the Trophies! The trophies are made on my work bench, just for you guys, its fun to see them in their new homes. Its for the first time winners too, this way they get an idea how it'll look on the shelf. 48D
  20. The rain show'd up....well before the Q, but nothing heavy. Gotta week to "dry out" and keep the dust settled! AND....its possibly going to be 84 degrees...with lots of Sun! Bring the sunscreen 5 DAYS AWAY!!!! 48D
  21. The BBQ will be awesome this year…!! ...Its a gathering of world travelers and Mopar "know- it- alls" (lol). A place to say “hey” to vintage trucks, cars, and the old guys who love them. When the event is underway, a few forum names would come up....some asking questions like "wonder what he's like?" "wonder if he'll come out next year?" or "wouldn't it be great if that guy was here, I'd like to talk with him". Each year I give out an award to someone who symbolizes the fun of meeting a person known only from the internet, someone you’d hope would be at the BBQ. It's what created the "Wish You Were Here" award. An award that reminds everyone on the forum, no matter where you're at, you're invited!! Past winners: 2008 Don Coatney (we'll meet again my friend) 2009 Merle Coggins 2010 Hank aka HanksB3B 2011 Ed aka Young ED 2012 Bud aka Budstruck 2013 Tim Adams aka Plymouthy Adams 2014 Mark aka ggdad1951 and Davin aka Desotodav 2015 Joe Hanely aka 52b3 Joe 2016 Dave aka Dave72dt 2017 Rob aka Dodge4ya 2018 JB Neal 2019 Todd B 2020/21 GTK Webmaster Sometimes I bend the rules. The idea of this trophy is to acknowledge someone for their impact on the hobby and wish they were here at the BBQ to meet those they may have helped. This time, someone who has worked very hard to be at the BBQ, has make several of them over the years, won't be here this time. He has driven, flown and maybe even hitchhiked for all I know. The fact is, he called a few days ago...Hat in hand, and informed me he had to change his plans and not make the BBQ. It was understandable, but tough to hear. I've made friends through this site and this simple event I hold every year. To not have someone I consider "a regular" hit me kinda funny. I look forward to seeing my friends every year, surrounded by old trucks. I look forward to catching up. I look forward to spending the weekend with like minded friends. But this man is genuine, a good dude....and if he can't make it, I will understand. But to be sure, it will be great to seem him next year or if I can make the drive from California to Minnesota in the fall. "Wish You Were Here Award" • 2022 Jeremiah Johnson • Congratulations Sir!!! Look for your trophy in the mail my friend. 48D
