  1. Jerry, Yes, After I posted here I emailed the seller and he added that last sentence. Says he's going to contact me Mon. or Tues. about shipping. Thanks, Reg
  2. Hey !!!! I watched this auction end a couple of weeks ago without a buyer. I contacted the seller and he was going to sell me the bumper and brackets. He even called me on the phone. People ?!?!
  3. Can't find a before but........... It was a 52 3/4 ton flat bed. During After 17 years after and abandoned.
  4. Where is it exactly ? I live a little over 100 miles from Reno.
  5. Yes Jim. They do Y right about in the middle. Please excuse the dirt and rust.......it's a Job Rated work truck still doing it's job

  9. Hank, Could you order both sizes from NAPA or whatever store is local to you and then just return the one you don't need once the R & R is complete?
  10. Yup....he's the one. Tomorrow I'm gonna make him have a downturn on his luck ! The panel didn't sell and he's started an new 3 day auction and dropped the price by $100. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190387535933&viewitem=&_trkparms=clkid%3D9073373862031530565
  11. They are fairly rare. Here's one I had years ago but ended up selling during a previous, but not so long lasting, depression. That's my bro. standing next to it the day I bought it and his nice little 37 Dodge he ended up selling during that same downturn. I HATE DOWNTURNS !!!!
  12. Oh God......Yes....dump those wheels immediately. They would look better on a hot rodded stage coach. The rest looks good and I agree about the front bumper.
  13. You may be on to something Don. Here I am a few decades later in the background by the window.
  14. Do you mean the 48 in Hemet,CA. ? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1948-DODGE-PANEL-TRUCK-RAT-ROD-HOT-ROD_W0QQitemZ190386669632QQcmdZViewItemQQptZSalvage_Parts_Cars?hash=item2c53ee0840
  15. Yes, your gramps 50 Dodge came with a 230. As you know the 251 is 2" longer than the 230 but it can be done. Here's a photo of Don Coatney's 251 DeSoto being transplanted into his '47 Plymouth. A few mods were required but not too difficult. Don.....you here ?
  16. Dad Gummit Hank. Now everybody knows that my wife was only 6 months old while I was graduation from high school. Don't worry....she wasn't my high school sweetheart. I really hope my wife doesn't see the rest of your post about you cooking and all. Even though I'm self unemployed I play dumb in the kitchen and food gathering departments. Guess I'm still a male chauvinist pig. I agree with both A and B "My friend Kent across the street listened to it and said the following: A.) When you knew the pressure plate was the wrong one you should have stopped and made sure the correct one was installed and not settled for Martin volunteering the file down the fingers (I agree) B.) Your clutch is probably o.k. so just replace the pressure plate and T.O. bearing and you'll probably be o.k. (I'd like to agree with this opinion), but I'd like to know what is the general consensus here on the forum."
  17. He needs to take them off of that hunk of wood and sell them individually. Then maybe he could get 4 or 5 hundred total for them.
  18. Yup, I thought you might like that info.
  19. I bought my first Pilot House in 1979 shortly after escaping the rat race of the S.F.Bay area and moving to the country. I had always admired these trucks because they reminded me of a tough bull dog. My first memories of these trucks was back in the late 50's when I use to watch our grammar school maintenance man drive a yellow 1 ton dually pick up around the school grounds taking care of business. In high school my girlfriends best friend came over one day in her parents green 1/2 ton. She let me drive it around a little bit and I was hooked. She used that little 1/2 ton to haul a horse and trailer to local horse shows back then ( mid 60's) Here's a couple photos of my first Pilot House. I paid $750 and drove it home. Later I traded it for a 40 Pontiac ( big Mistake )
  20. Ed, It's bigger and longer than all the other screws except the other screw that is inset on the bottom. They are identical.
  21. You're welcome. Did you ever find some stock or other linkage to make it work on your car ? I haven't yet.
  22. Here it is. No ball came out. Not very long either. ~ 7/8"
