  1. I did ask him and He thinks the number stamped on the raised rectangular pad is V406. I've never seen that number before.
  2. You can use spacers to bring the wheels back out where they were originally or even thicker ones to get a wider track than original. That's what I did with my Ford 3.0 rearend.
  3. Here's a non fluid drive truck bell housing showing the one piece clutch fork/pedal shaft. Ignore the gas pedal actuator.
  4. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230444489932&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT Look at this front view to the left of the water pump. I had the owner check the engine number pad and he said he thinks it says V406. I can't find that number anywhere so I've also suggested he measure the stroke. I sure would like to find a 265 closer to home.
  5. Tim, Have a look at this forums photos. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/1928-38Dodgetrucks/photos/album/607352175/pic/667137049/view?picmode=&mode=tn&order=ordinal&start=1&count=20&dir=asc
  6. Ditto !
  7. Oh no Tim ! You got it bad man. I only meant to give you a little touch of my old truck obsession virus but I guess I gave you most of mine. I did notice right after I shook your hand for the first time that my collection began to shrink and has now gotten down to where I think you have me beat. So so sorry Grasshopper Cool 38 though. Now.....find one of these to save $ on future towing bills.
  8. Wow ! I would have thought that breaking the bead and removing the valve stem valve would have been enough. Scary.
  9. The one I had made was $50.
  10. Some speedo shops can make a little gear box that connects to the transmission end of the speedo cable and corrects your speedometer reading. You have to tell them what your speedo reading is compared to how fast you are really going. A hand held GPS works great for the accurate reading.
  11. After seeing the commercial for the 39 Plymouth episode I'll betcha a dollar the car is a 40 Plymouth.
  12. Don't give Frank any more money. He sold the joint.
  13. I used 1/8" cause it was the closest to the original thickness.
  14. Hank, I have this set of NOS ring and pinion gears available for purchase. The ratio is 3.54 to 1. I had another set just like these swapped into my 49 Dodge Coronet that came from the factory with 4.11 to 1. Before I found these sets of ring and pinions I wanted to be able to go faster with my 52 1/2 to so I looked locally for a better ratio and found that a complete rear end would work in my truck with some modifications of the spring perches and drive shaft. My truck now has a 66 T Bird rear end with 3.0 to 1 ration in it.
  15. Hey, nice work. Now, can you mass produce them ?
  16. Sorry.....ran out of film.....Can you imagine ? On Ed's 64 I'm surprised it sold for so little $. I guess if it had the little V8 option it would have brought a lot more.
  17. I've always been partial the 63 Valiant's classic body style.
  18. Yes, very cool ! Keep them coming. Great music.
  19. My 38 Dodge PU has a crank out winsdhield so I would say the Plymouths do too.
  20. Say...you don't happen to reside in Gilroy,Ca. do ya ?
  21. Good God Hank ! .......I hope all that puking took place in a private school. Wouldn't be prudent to let that happen in a public school. You'd be EXPELLED imediately. John-T-53.....I think this one has a large capacity holding tank with a quick release cable designed to make them tailgaters back off real quick like.
  22. She does. Here she is spelling me for a while on the sand blaster. She's gone under my cars to help with seat belt installation and has been under several of my dashes helping with wiring. A truly good woman. I'm a lucky man to have found her. She even handles this nasty chore sometimes !
  23. I've always wanted on of these but alas....no dough. It's got a 413 and a 727. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260559115542&viewitem=&sspagename=ADME%3AB%3ASS%3AUS%3A1123#v4-31
  24. Yes, I almost passed out trying to read that loooooooong sentence. Hopefully someone will help you soon.
  25. Hey, I used that same Logo on my business card as a kid in the 60's only it said "Have Mower.....Will Travel"
