The parking lights look like after market plastic ones. Am I seeing things or are the running boards wooden ? Where are the wiper arms and switch,tailgate chains,and center tail gate support,etc. If I won the lottery I might offer him 8K for his incomplete truck. Nice paint job though.

If the engine hasn't been cleaned out inside for a long long time try some 40 weight non detergent. It's won't loosen the crud an bring it back into the system.

The white greasy substance could be an indication of a leaking head gasket. Have you checked the torque on the head bolts ?

I use to be able to drive my car across this bridge until the late sixties when the state bought it and closed it to automobiles. I often think about trying to sneak one of my old cars down there to get a photo but I guess I should just ask the ranger to open the gate. I have owned at least 35 of these trucks over the last 20 years and never saw one that had buckeled in the middle. The article also stated "when combined with the enlarged 108in wheelbase for the B1-B" Huh?...weren't the previous W series 1/2 ton trucks on a 116" wheelbase.
