  1. I would also agree that pulling the front clip is the way to go if your are also restoring the truck. But if it's just an engine rebuild or swap then I wouldn't bother. Nice 1 ton pickup by the way Bob. What does the lettering on the door say?
  2. Sorry to hear the news about Old Spot today Young Ed. Glad you are OK. If your insurance doesn't take care of the repairs maybe us forum members will pass the hat to help in Spots resurection.
  3. Nope.....just green with envy ....that's all.
  4. Welcome Jeremy. Glad you found us old truck nuts. What a lucky man to be the proud caretaker of that woodie and what an even luckier man to be driving the one your grand father owned. My skin color matches the color of your truck.
  5. Here are a few examples. Nice 49 by the way !
  6. I've swapped many engines in Pilot House trucks and never found the need to remove the front clip. Just the hood and radiator works fine for me.
  7. Oh Man....the guy blew it. He could have applied some wood grained contact paper on the new dash before the rivits went on.

  12. Hey Jon, Here's a photo of the dash in my 42 Bizzy coupe non blackout model. I see yours has a map light right in the center of your dash just above the keys ! Man....I've had this car for a couple of years now and never knew that feature was there. Mine is missing the lens cover, reflector and socket. I'm still looking for a nicer speedometer. Mine is very yellowed. Did the business coupe have a painted or wood grained dash?
  13. Bob, I have a COE cab and all the fenders and parts for one of that vintage disassembled for easier transport. Only $900 !

  17. Thanks dezeldoc ! I hate it when I do that . You just might have saved me from the dreaded ...........negative feedback
  18. Greg, I don't see any reason why you couldn't remove the door clips and drill holes in the shoulders to mount them. The only problem I see with that is breaching the chrome finish around the new holes which would promote rusting but I guess they could be sealed with something. Good eyedear.
  19. Will do "Young Ed"

  25. Those parts really are very hard to find ! They were made for the big Dodge trucks originally but will bolt right up to any 25" block. Hey....he's also selling a 241 Hemi and a dual intake for the 23" blocks. These are going on my 52 1/2 ton one of these days.
