  1. I have this one listed on The Bay right now. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=120319213498&ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT&ih=002
  2. Or when ...... uh...... Damn......I forgot what I was gonna say.
  3. Looks like a runner to me. I like that color. Nice photo !
  4. Are you talking the A100 van front pickups? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1965-DODGE-A100-ORIGINAL-IMP-BROCHURE-65-A-100-273_W0QQitemZ360099287488QQihZ023QQcategoryZ34218QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
  5. Here's another price guide for comparison called Collector Car Price Guide 2009. Guide ranges from a parts car to a show car. Is it the short or long wheel base?
  6. Did you hear about the guy that polished his tennis shoes and rectum ?
  7. Not sure I understand your question Fran.
  8. A couple of times I have had to run some coat hanger wire and drill bits in the small water port holes right above the distribution tube and the corresponding ports in the head because the were clogged shut with rusty scale. If you end up taking the head off check out all the water ports between the head and block for clogs.
  9. She's a real beauty Steve. Is the exterior sun visor made of some sort of semi transparent plastic?
  10. I thought maybe one of you Chrysler or DeSoto guys might be interested in these parts I listed yesterday for the 25" flat 6's. Tell your friends. Thanks guys, Reg http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&item=120319213498
  11. My guess would be 10% or a little more. Anyone have a book showing the hp rating difference? Hey.....Christmas isn't really that far away. You should tell her now.
  12. There is no such radio
  13. Big truck dual intake and exhaust. Fits long block Chryslers,DeSotos and Canadian 25" blocks too. Item number: 120319213498 Bid ofter and bid high cause I need the dough.
  14. "I have been reading other post and it appears these engines don't last very long and are very high maintenance engines. By the reading the max speed is about 50 and the tranny is hard to shift." Matlocks05, Actually in my experiences over the last 40 or more years I have found the opposite of your above statement as long as you keep up normal maintenance and don't push them. Your truck probably has a 4.11 rear end so 55 mph would be a comfortable cruising speed. As stated already the transmission is a synchromesh type and easy to shift.
  15. OK....we've all heard of a muffler on a car but how about a car in a muffler ? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Cars-Trucks___Unique-Collectible-Custom-Muffler-Car_W0QQitemZ220291199070QQddnZCarsQ20Q26Q20TrucksQQddiZ2282QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item220291199070&_trkparms=39%3A1%7C65%3A-1%7C240%3A1318&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245
  16. I would give it a compression test first to make sure all the cylinders are sealing correctly. If you haven't re-torqued the head after the initial startup maybe the head gasket blew. If that all checks out OK look for vacuum leaks and check the timing, carb, and fuel delivery again. Sorry you have to sell. This lousy economy has me in the same boat you are in. I'm a custom home builder and my phone stopped ringing last November.
  17. Here's a photo of a typical 51-53 dash. The ash tray is located on the bottom right. The radio is to the left of the steering column.
  18. Glad you got it in the right spot despite my photo Fernando. What was I thinking? Oh....I know..... I wasn't.
  19. Have you tried priming the carb before you attempt to start the engine? If this enables the engine to start right away your carb has run dry or your accelerator pump is not working. Remove your air cleaner and look to see if your carb is squirting gas when you work the accelerator pump.
  20. Here's a photo I took last year when someone asked the same question. Hope this helps.
  21. When I replace mine I'm going to use this as a pattern to get the stainless welt to conform to the curvature of the fender. I will use contact cement on the fender to keep it in place while installing the fender and maybe some body caulk on the body side to keep water out.
  22. Did they use you as the model for this number Don? http://cgi.ebay.com/Catherine-Coatney-Brocade-Teddie-NWT-SZ-L_W0QQitemZ170268877253QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item170268877253&_trkparms=72%3A1205%7C39%3A1%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C240%3A1318&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14
  23. I took the sag out of the left rear of a 40 Plymouth by adding an air shock to that side only. Nothing was broken under the car but it sagged over an inch on that side. I surmised from the sag and the condition of the drivers seat springs that the previous owner must have been a big guy.
  24. I took the lean out of a 40 Plymouth on the drivers side rear by adding a single air shock on that side. Nothing was broken. From the condition of the seat springs and the rear spring I guessed the previous owner must have been a large person that did a lot of solo driving.
  25. I'm in Libby,Montana right now and working my way easterly. I'll be there before you know it.......hopefully.
