  1. I believe there is a post in this forum that details where to look and what the numbers mean. I think that on the front of the pumpkin lower pass side are the numbers stamped in the case but it has been a while.
  2. That is an excellent bed filler. How well does it run?
  3. Rusteoleum Dark Hunter Green is very close. Can be found at Hope Depot. Not exact but close.
  4. Dodge, Ford, International and Jeep used the same bolt pattern on the one tons. The rims will swap between makes just keep the same offsets. If you are running duals make sure that you use coined wheels, there is more information on this in a past post. Make sure to check the attachment between the wheel center and rim for rust.
  5. I would be interested but already have too many projects and not enough time.
  6. It is easiest to run the wire from the steering box up the column rather than down from above. The wire hits the standpipe and won't continue thru. The trucks I have did not have relays. The hot lead comes from under the dash to the horn and the ground goes from the horn to the button in the steering wheel.
  7. Check the tech side there may be a step by step on how to adjust the box. It may just need to be tightened.
  8. It looks like the tubing to angle fitting are not aligned. The threads may be cross threaded and not sealing properly. The angle fitting may have to be replaced to correct the problem.
  9. Sounds like the alcohol content is causing a lean condition which in turn genearates more heat. Enlarging the main jet should help the problem. Then the timing can be returned to spec.
  10. Try contacting a company that already makes wheel adapters. They would have the expertise to make what you need.
  11. Where are you located? There may be someone in your area with a spare. They are heavy to ship.
  12. Try Rusteoleum Rusty metal primer. Comes in spray, quart and gallon. Old school oil base paint and really seals the surface. Use clear coat to seal the area you want to retain the patina. Seals the surface and cleanable.
  13. Earlier a link was posted for e-bay listing for floor inserts. Has it been deleted or moved??
  14. My suggestion is to use the larger engine with the fluid drive that is in the truck. If you can find a set of gears from the larger car use them but if not the 4:10's work. When you buy new tires go to 7:50X16 6ply. The larger circumfrence will give you a couple more mph. Any more and you will be going faster than the rest of the truck is designed for. My B-1-D has served me well for many years and miles, I just don't use Interstates. If your transmission is a 4 speed version most if not all the parts you may need to rebuild can be gotten from Vintage Power Wagons.
  15. Interesting enough all the trucks I have and have used for parts have been green, not by choice but that is what there was. I was told years ago by a former auto salesman that red was only for Fire Depts, Yellow was for utilities leaving green, black and blue. Not sure if it was true but made sense.
