  1. Here's another example showing the same treatment as Merle's truck has. This is a photo of the front cover of Don Bunns B-Series Truck book.
  2. Did you try the new tires on the car yourself to see if they are correct in saying that they will not work? What is the difference in diameter between your old and new tires? From the profile photo of your 50 the car doesn't appear to be lowered.
  3. I think they are close to having the same room for the wheel. Maybe someone here with a 50 can answer your question better than I can.
  4. Only when it comes to leaves Don. I like a little rake on a car but just a little. The front lower than the rear....not the reverse.
  5. I put 750 16's radials all the way around on my 42 coupe. This photo shows all 4 750's. The fronts rubbed a little on tight turns so I dropped down to 650 16's on the front. Now I wish I had gone to 700's up front because the clearance would have been fine and the car would have had a little less rake.
  6. Yeah but I wanted one that would mow the lawn or one that would rub out and wax an old car. I guess she is grooming me for my new position as House Man .
  7. Speaking of the wave of the future and a favorite Christmas gift. This was under the tree with my name on it. Can you guess what it is ?
  8. Here's what Santa brought us Christmas morning at Kingvale,CA. My daughter and family rented this cabin for the season. A nice place to visit but ya wouldn't want to live there this time of year.
  9. I got mine the other day. It looks great Bob. Thanks !!!
  10. Paul, Have you read this thread regarding internal and external bypass water pumps ? http://www430.pair.com/p15d24/mopar_forum/showthread.php?t=6119&highlight=internal+bypass
  11. In a similar tone to Don's Hello !!..... Duh !!... who doesn't know aliens are always attracted to Christmas lights ? ....Geez
  12. After you have drained the oil from the oil pan I would put my finger in the drain hole and see what's on the bottom of the oil pan. If it's clean I'd use a multi grade detergent oil. If there is a layer of sludge on the bottom of the pan I'd go with some 30 or 40 weight non-detergent. If the dirty gritty sludge it there you don't want to loosen this up and back into the system.
  13. I'm on my 2nd pot now Don and might try some coffee next.
  14. Pictorial proof why it's not a good idea to drive your pickup if the bed is rotting.
  15. Here's what the stock heater looks like. From the factory it is painted sort of a maroon color like this one with a silver circle around the embossed MoPar Truck Master logo.
  16. Brian, Your stuck stud reminds me of my problem a while back removing an exhaust manifold. Hang in there ! You'll get it. http://www430.pair.com/p15d24/mopar_forum/showthread.php?t=2607
  17. We had about 6" of the white stuff here Sunday night at the 2200' elevation . I couldn't take a shower until noon today due to a frozen water main from the well. What's the elevation in Lancaster dezeldoc ? This global warming thing is giving me chills.
  18. My favorite number was 1.5 so I guess I can't decide between Imelda Marcos and Bill Gates.
  19. Yeah .....Well..... I suffer from a rather rare condition known as FOROBOBS and can't handle bus rides any more where a bridge is involved. What is FOROBOBS you ask ? I'm sorry...but I just can't talk about it. fear of riding on busses over bridges syndrome
  20. "Reg could drive his three yellow trucks to San Franciso" Hello Paul !!! anybody in there?....how would I get back home to drive Ole Yeller II & III back there?
  21. This might explain why your car sounds more like Shroom Shroom rather than Vroom Vroom
  22. Yeah....and then the Old Farts here and everywhere will be taxed for our extra emissions next. So far the Pilot house color count around here is 2 yellows,1 green, and 1 sorta silver. The silver one might be yellow underneath the silver though. Tim, The yellow truck Paul showed us that's for sale is closer to you than me. It's in Reedley,Ca. down near Hanford. Maybe you should go for it so I don't strike out. Wait....I do have more room now though cause this 45 Dodge with misc. parts is heading out for Merry Old England in about 1 hour. Thanks eBay !!!
  23. You read correctly Don.
  24. Where is it ? How much $ ?
  25. I've always wanted to preserve the patina of one of my old clunkers and I think Elbert,my 49 Suburban, would be a good candidate for this. Most of the original paint is still there but very oxidized. Mother Nature gave him a clear coat last winter and I liked the look of the old paint and bruises showing through. Before the clear coat. After the clear coat.
