  1. I bought mine from Robert's as well. I am more than happy with the product and the service from them.
  2. I got a Voltage Regulator from him last year. Still in the original box, under $30 to my door from Turkey in under 12 days.
  3. Moose, Will you be my neighbor? Might be a bit of a commute from Saskatchewan.
  4. Looks good, I may copy off of you. But, I will give credit. Thanks for posting.
  5. I put used 205 15" radials on my old stock rims without tubes. I just cleaned them up as best as possible. I need to add air a couple of times per driving season.
  6. Welcome Home. Thanks for the ride along.
  7. We had a fellow from Tulsa working for us this week and he showed one of the guys a text from his wife. It read "Hi Babe, Tornadoes coming, heading out to the shelter." Maybe, the snow and cold isn't so bad.
  8. Can you please bring some nicer weather with you to Canada? 34 degrees F in Saskatoon tomorrow, Edmonton and Calgary got dumped on yesterday. Good luck and Safe travels.
  9. When I re-did the brakes on mine, one was previously damaged and I was able to get one from our local Bolt Supply House. When I told them what is for, the counter guy flipped it to me and said, "Good for you, no charge."
  10. Great pictures as always Bob. Snow is almost gone here. Should be out and about soon.
  11. I got them at a tire repair wholesaler. They seemed to know exactly what I was looking for.
  12. I put used tubeless radials on mine when I brought it home in 2009. I installed the threaded brass vavle stems. The rims are stock. I need to add air in the spring and maybe once or twice during driving season. I should be working on it, but got caught up watching the Masters on tv. Oops
  13. Here are pictures of my oval valve stems.
  14. I made mine from 3/0 welding cable. Purchased ends from NAPA and made them up. The welding cable is very flexible.
  15. If 1 was readily available, I would get it, but too much else to do first. I do enjoy the look.
  16. Great picture Bob. We are close here, up to about 40F today. Snow is receding quickly. Hopefully be on the streets in a couple of weeks. Local Hot Rod show is Easter weekend, our antique club helps out and they have a Classic Corral outside in the parking lot for our cars.
  17. When I put mine on, I just cleaned the rims really well around where the tire beads, and bought threaded valve stems with an oval base.
  18. Be nice to them, I could not find a rental store that knew what I was talking about when I was looking to beg/ buy/ or borrow one. Good work
  19. Can you bring some nicer weather back with you? Good luck and have a great trip.
  20. Here is the one I bought. Very similar and a little cheaper. http://sastool.com/product_info.php?products_id=226&osCsid=6ff6e21a7bac5878640c887b925e18ca
  21. They were about $400 when I ordered them, that included shipping to Canada. More than I wanted to spend, but :)
  22. They are designed to go right over top of the existing. I just cleaned the seats the best I could. I did not re-stuff the seats, I just installed right over top of the existing seats. Once I got into it a bit, I did consider stripping the seats right down to the frames but my car is a driver at best and will never be a show car and the seats are still pretty comfortable.
  23. My seat covers arrived from Automotive Interiors this week. http://www.automotiveinteriors.com/ I had ordered them just before Christmas, before the price increase and they told me that it would be 6 -8 weeks, I emailed them near the end of February to check on them. Diane told me that there was a manufacturing issue, but they would be completed and on their way shortly. A couple of days later, I got an email saying that there were shipped Air Express at their cost to help make up the delay. The included instructions were bang on, they supplied enough hog rings, I did take bearheart's advice and buy better quality hog ring pliers. They fit perfectly, it was a bit of a relief as my car is a Canadian Dodge, interior is supposed to be the same as the Plymouth Special Deluxe, but it was still a relief to get them installed. I will attach some photos, please don't focus on the rest of the interior as it is in bad shape. I probably should have done something else before re-doing the seats, but my wife did not like to ride in it. Even though it is technically her car. I am not totally finished the install, the front seat is just sitting in place.
  24. I went through the same thing last year. I decided to spend the $16 on a rebuild kit and try it. It took about 2 hours for a semi skilled person like myself to hone it out and rebuild it. I figured if it didn't work I would then replace it. So far so good. I figured if it didn't work I was out less than $20. I have done sillier things that cost more money than that.
