  1. Thanks, Does anyone have a need for this? The chrome ring is rusted but the gauge face is excellent. Todd B
  2. I just purchased a cool tool to remove the chrome rings behind the choke, throttle etc. It came in todays mail and it works awesome. no more plier marks on my trims. Todd
  3. Looks great! Now you will have to drive with a window open so you can hear the firetrucks behind you. Todd B
  4. I found this gauge in my parts box, I think its from a late 50 early 60 dodge truck. The is a number on the side, I think it is 32458A.
  5. I have the chevy automatic trans installed and my drive shaft is now too long, I have 3" of travel from just being on the spline to completely pushed in. I am not sure were it should be to start. I assume in the middle but we all no what "ASSUME" stands for. Todd B
  6. I have my b1b drag link on the bench and am trying to figure out if it needs to be replaced. I can grab the "bolt" and wiggle it left to right, it will move about an 1/8" at the very end of the bolt. It is moving inside of the ball part. When I move the bolt and ball it seems to be somewhat smooth. How do you know if it is good or bad?? Todd B
  7. I thought the truck and video was very cool and I enjoyed watching it. Most of the things you guys noticed wrong is just reality. Back in the day when something broke you just fixed it yourself, you made due with what you had. The screws through the emblem was a clever way to keep it on. Todd B
  8. Thank you, I printed this info and put my file. All these years I was mislead, I wonder what else is not what it seems to be. Is there a way to tell what a chevy rear end came out of? Thanks again. Todd B
  9. The #'s are F0309HCR, The second 0 seems to wider than the first, I am not sure if it is 0 or O. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Todd B
  10. I did not think about the drive shaft, it will be to long, there is place in Green Bay that does that. I had one built for my camper. I was told they make an offset starter that will bolt in. If I remember right the 327 is a 1975. How do you know what year a chevy small block is???? Thanks for all the inputs from you guys. Todd B
  11. The pedals was changed last time. They were mounted to the firewall and I am just taking the cluch pedal off, I tackled that yesterday. I also figured out the cross member. That also was an earlier change that just had to be moved and new holes drilled. I had to add 1/2" plates to move it down, the trans was very close to the original cross on the frame. Todd
  12. I had a 3 speed on the floor on the back of 327 chev motor for the last 27 years in my b1b. When I gave it to my son he said he would like an automatic so his soon to be wife could drive it. I was OK with his decision because the cobbled clutch system we had I really never liked. I thought it would be a simple switch. My son found a 700R trans and said here you go dad. Well, I am changing the flywheel, starter, cross member, radiator, floor center piece, shifter, wiring, kick down brackets to the carb, electronic speedo and installing cooling lines. My father is no longer here to guide me so I am depending on help from others and this web site. My goal is to have it back on the road for July 2013. That will be my 30 year class reunion and most of my class remembers that truck (back in the day). Once I get past this trans thing I think I can handle it myself. Todd B
  13. There is 8 brake linings in the box. 4 short and 4 long plus directions. on the back of the box it shows what it will fit but is worn were it says the Truck years. The conecting rod box has never been opened.
  14. I was looking through my parts finding pieces of the puzzle and I found these items. I believe they are for 1930's dodge cars and/ or trucks. Does anyone here or on the car side have a need. Todd B
  15. You have bigger balls than I do!! Good Luck. Todd B
  16. Welcome to the "Cult"= (A group of persons having an excessive interest in something). Looks to be a solid find. Todd B
  17. I am not starring at any more. I am convinced it was a great job with photo shop. Todd B
  18. I am not sure about 6v, all my trucks are now 12v.
  19. When I had my semi motor rebuilt he put 30w oil in it. After a year a freind was an AMSOIL dealer so he said I should change. I did and my truck looked like an old panhead Harley. There was oil dripping everywhere. I changed back to 30w and most of the leaks stopped. My 2 cents Todd B
  20. Here is what I did 10 years ago. Todd B
  21. I will take closer pictures tomorrow, I will be working just a few minutes away from my truck. Todd B
  22. I found my reciept from my semi in 2002, It is a "Grote" light 64123 I went on line and tried to find it on there search. No luck, so I downloaded the catolog and it is on page 111. I am attaching a picture of my truck with them on. I can't remember how or what we did to make them work but I believe it was very simple. Todd B
  23. Looks great, one step closer to the the finish line. You better start putting parts on or you will have to buy a bigger house, maybe a 4 or 5 bedroom. Have fun sliding the hood back together, you are in my prayers! Todd B
