  1. Here in Wisconsin that amount of rust would be considered nearly perfect.
  2. Sounds great, just like an truck should sound like. I also laughed when I saw the animals running and the kid on the bike trying to get away. Are you keeping the pitina look or are you in the process of a paint job? I think it looks awesome the way it is. Todd B
  3. I found radial tires that will fit my original wheels, what is a fair price for 6 new tires, stems, mounting on the wheels and I think he said I need to go with tubes with the old wheels. I buy a lot of 16" tires for my job but I have never purchased a big tire like this before. Thanks, Todd B
  4. It reminds of the M&M and Santa commercial, "They are real" Looks great Hank, Whats the tag above the original on the door post for?? Todd B
  5. Are you looking for the way the horn ring goes on? If so I can take pictures of mine, I just put a horn ring on last week and and I scratched my head awhile to figure out all the parts. Todd B
  6. You are doing a great job, walk away for a few days, add a few more cases of beer to your notebook and everything will be fine Monday. One of my dads favorite sayings, "Tomorrow is another day". Todd B
  7. Sorry I forgot the picture.
  8. This past winter I looked at my part trucks for a steering wheel nut and washer for Jeff in CA. I found in a 52' truck of mine a horn ring. I wanted to get it re-chromed but decided $200 was out of my budget. I sanded it and painted it with Rustoleom paint. My wife wanted to hang out on our hill today so I decided to install the ring next to the fire pit. I am very suprised how sensitive it is, wow, I will have to learn how to drive all over again. Thanks Jeff, I did not realize that ring was in there. Todd B
  9. This is how the simulators work on my truck.
  10. Merle, That just gave me a chill. That is more snow then we had all laast year.
  11. Merle, You make it sound so easy to look at a different pic every 30 minues. I am a carpenter with limited computer skills. AWESOME TRUCK, I am looking forward for the Luau August 18th so I can see your baby. In fact I just came in from stacking wood for the the different camping areas we have on our land. I will take some time and "Formally" invite everyone to our Luau from the site. I have received a number of PM messages telling me they are coming. Nice truck Merle and thanks for all your input. Todd B
  12. I have my stainless simulators I had ordered just for that wheel. I stressed the fact that I will not gve them up. He said he was going to order one and we can fit the wheel and simulator.
  13. My tire guy (Olie) that I really put a lot of trust in claims that the original wheels are never in good enough shape, he claims the ring area always rust and they should be replaced if I want to put radials on. I really don't want to spend that kind of money but I certainly want to be safe. Do you guys agree with Olie? Todd B
  14. During my High School days drivng my b1b at night. Once in awhile everylight in the truck would blackout. It would eventually come back on. If I remember right (30 years ago) there was a breaker thingy-bob on the switch that would overheat. I replaced the switch and all my problems went away.
  15. very cool, I love the old font style lettering. Very impressive, Todd B
  16. I can help, I have several. Todd B
  17. Thank you, now it all makes sense.
  18. Very interesting! Thanks for the information. Todd B
  19. what does the OT in front and back of these titles mean??
  20. I just checked map quest and it is only 247 miles away. I am going to ask my social director if we have any plans. That sounds fun, a different group of trucks that I probally have not seen yet. Todd B
  21. If that was a Wisconsin fishing day the cooler would have been full of empty beer cans surrounding the fish. Very nice looking fish. (both of you).
  22. are you able to keep the same wheels??
  23. Both the trucks have a stamp 5.83 on the housing, so much for switching to a higher gear. My wife tells me its an old truck and I need to relax when we are riding, I would relax more if I wouldn't get passed by all the Ford's. She just does not understand. Thank you Bob for the info. Todd B's
  24. Has anyone attempted putting radial tires on the bigger wheels. I have 8.25 x 20 tires and they are starting to weather check. I am considering radials because without the weight of my trailer on my truck it is a very, very rough ride.
  25. That was a clever idea. I am glad it went to good home. Todd B
