  1. Last year I was at a Truck show and someone told me about No-Touch tire cleaner. I bought some and a week ago Saturday I just sprayed some on. It works incredible, you don't do anything. I have used armor-all for I believe close to 25 years. The thing I don't like is you have to keep spraying it on to make the tire look clean. I used No-touch and it sat in my gravel driveway plus I drove it through a rain and all I did was ripe it off with a dry rag. Armor-all also makes tires look "plastic" if you use to much. This stuff makes my tire look like new rubber. Todd B ~$TODD.doc
  2. Very nice truck, its neat to see we have another generation getting involved. What size motor does it take to turn tires bigger than your daughter (much bigger)? Todd B
  3. that was incredible! I just found my new goal
  4. We are actually building a trailer right know that will look like an old S#*t house. In there will be all my plumbing, Sink, Toilet & shower. I will also be able to strap my bike down in the back and when we get to a campground we will be able to go riding. Todd B
  5. Someone told me about that site last fall after a parade we attended. There is some really nice trucks in there. I had to show my dad that site to help support that all the beer and whiskey I drank when I was younger had nothing to do with my way of thinking. It helped to see there is "others" Todd B
  6. Has anyone went to an electric fuel pump. Since last September I blew the diaphram out of 2 fuel pumps on my semi and just last week one on my camper. Someone at the car show said that the new fuel eats the old style rubber in the diaphrams. Anymore input would be appreciated. Todd B
  7. Ken, I haven't had any trouble with bottoming out. You just have to plan ahead. I came up with the idea for an advertising tool for our Haunted house season. It started out to just be a shell that I could park at different gas stations, it turned out so nice that we finished the inside. I drive it almost anywhere, will only go 55 max. I usally hold it at 50 miles an hour to save the engine and try to avoid windy days. I had to add leaf springs in all 4 corners to help with the cornering. I only paid $100 for the truck and only replaced leaf spring bushings & pins, tires, gas tank, wheel cylinder kits, wiring and a water pump. On the way to Green Bay I blew a fuel pump 1 mile from my fathers and nursed it there and changed it with an old 218 fuel pump that was on my first original 49 I had in 1980. Old iron is a lot of fun and a thanks to the organizers of this site. Its fun to share stories with ones who care. Todd B
  8. I would like to get some professional pictures of the inside. These don't seem to work for me. During the ISCA Awards, we received the Street Achievement "Design & Originality" award. I am not sure if they made it up just for us or not. I felt a little guilty when there was vehicles that owners had spent over $500,000 dollars on and we kept hearing that ours was the best thing here. You have to remember this is Wisconsin and most people will pick a rusty old truck (with a built in beer cooler) over something they will have to wash & polish every day. We really did have a blast and met a ton of wonderful people from all over.
  9. We had a blast. I was told there was 18,000 spectators in 3 days. And I am sure more then half went into the camper to see it. I will attempt pictures Todd B
  10. Thanks Merle for my now big head. The show is in the Resch center along with the Brown county arena & Shopko Hall. Norm, I live in Marion WI, about 50 miles West of Green Bay.
  11. In 2002 I had my 1953 semi tractor & trailer in the World of Wheels indoor show in Green bay. Next weekend I will be taking our 1949 Camper to the show. I can't wait, I have been going to this show since I was very young and am honored to be allowed to have one of my vehicles in it. Hopefully some of you can visit me. I do not know how to attach there website. We will take pictures of the show and post next Monday. Attached is some pics of 2002 Todd B
  12. 1.5 ton camper

  14. 53 dodge semi
  15. how do you post pictures? Thank you in advance
  16. The doors are different but they will fit from one era to another. Back in the 80's my drunkin buddy backed into my 49 1/2 ton drivers door. I went to the local junk yard and found a new door and replaced it. It was not until monthes later I noticed the crease difference. Hard to believe I missed that but I just wanted my hot rod back on the road. I also own both window styles and would recommend keeping the vent windows. None of my pilot house trucks have AC and it sure is an awesome AC when you open the vent windows completely. It feels like I am on my Harley. As far as converting it, I looked and I believe it should work. I am putting new glass in my camper right now, (that truck has no vent windows). and I believe things could easily be swawped around.
