My last garden in the dirt standard style turned out to be a disaster to the point I said no more....this year however these huge 24 gallon super heavy containers become available at dirt cheap. I have green beans, potatoes, grape tomatoes, slicing tomatoes, squash, zucchini, cukes, sweet banana peppers and bell peppers. I have baby cukes and squash already on the vine...some of these were late plants and staggered plantings...I hope with the buckets I will have better control over weeds and water. There are 25 of these container set up and I have my planting station just behind the little building..

as you will register the body and not the chassis and drivetrain changes....it will be counted as a D24....however for a real Mopar addict...it will enumerated with the junk and abortions...

I have never been fond of any car registry. I do not register my cars and I have a few that are very low in production numbers and high in collectivity. Of the British marques..they love their number games and many collect this data and sell it in form of a book and a self appointed guru status all on the back of the members who registered who cannot get their own data without paying...nor can they ask it to be excluded as once given permanently kept.......I refuse to be part of that and gladly accept any name you wish to tag me with for my thinking. Maybe one day the headline will read, found in deserted barn in Georgia....but I think not as my son knows every car and such on the place.

you going to have to work a lot of issues that should have been addressed in the making of the kit prior to the sell....sadly very few kits are truly engineered for long term service it seems...just getting a straight gel coat that would not be astronomical count in hours to get flat would be a miracle in and of itself. Las glass product I bought was a set of skirts for the P15 spent quite a bit of time getting the coat on them nice. I primed them and put them away, I do not think I will ever install them, or the lake pipes, or the exhaust cutouts and a few other odds and ends. But....I still have two more P15's here so what do I know? I am not knocking the kit car completely mind you, they fill a niche in the hobby that would other wise be totally void....but a few extra dollars in production time and added technique would go a long way for service and value. retrofitting and glassing in strengthening plates after the fact makes for a bit of bulk but can firm one up very solid right down to a thud in closing the door. I am sure you will have a number of hours here and maybe less money than you think going out if you do your own work that is... to me, that is where the 'own' in ownership begins...and the fun continues from that point. The little car I am currently deep into was a kit car being shipped to foreign port as a CKD (Complete Knock Down factory kit) about 30 years later the guy I got it from took it apart and returned it to almost a CKD status car...I got boxes upon boxes of parts, and the major components sitting on four special made roll about pallets...I can say this...he kept it all together nicely and knew where every part was stored at his facility. Small parts bagged and tagged. I will have gone over every bit of this car inside out and beneath when finished...one bit at a time and the elephant will be consumed.

New Spark Plugs ... Damn what a difference
Plymouthy Adams replied to Stargrinder's topic in P15-D24 Forum
1 plug or 6, new or reconditioned...both will work...here is a scenario I saw in a third world country at a service garage near my hotel. Subject...big 7 series BMW, oil and filter change going on...at least I am sure he was charged for the filter....the tech if you wish to use that term was out rinsing the old oil filter cannister in gasoline for reinstall. I could but shake my head and move along. -
yes in some accounts prices a re bit more in line to realistic here where I am at although they still start off in the near reaches of ionosphere....I bought a complete rolling AH Sprite, complete car, by rolling I mean with air in the tires...rough about the edges though for 250.00 Hard to pass cars up at this price...the twin carbs are worth at least half of that in used condition...

been around a few of the glass kit car and have never been impressed in areas where hinges are mounted for any long life or good fit...if I were to entertain a glass car...…………....Beck 550

she's a big girl...sure she will appreciate the time you not pestering her.....lol I can hear it now....oh, you been in the shop working the last month...? -
when money is no object...you get an item that cost lots of money.....I cannot now or ever relate to such episodes on TV or magazines as the money pushing them is not realistic in the sense of Joe Common owner/builder. I can say I have never watched any of this on TV and I do not buy magazines.....I would say I may have bought one mag in last 20 years just for the adds of some of the supplies for parts sourcing....with the internet now...unless you low on toilet paper a magazine is useless.

my bad..originator Tim aka 48dodger states that this coming Saturday, May 16 is the official IWOYTD I don't have any honey do's but with the house and yard...I still have plenty to take me away from my wanna-dos....I have parts on order that hopefully will arrive to be included in my IWOYD entry... -
once a biker...always a biker......but you only get one shot at civility....? Ed now has two project trucks to juggle....job house wife and three kids....pressure is on...…! He could probably use a few good hands. I did a very similar job that he is tanking on with the Dakota years ago...it is a process....not that bad, nothing hard..just takes some of your time. as an aside, I was thinking this weekend to go look at a smaller commuter size bike...do miss my motorcycle...I have an elusive 10 sp. CB1000 in the barn but not quite ready to work that puppy up...

Ok folks, coming up, just around the corner and drawing near fast..get out to the shop, wipe the dust off them wrenches and get ready to turn and burn...this is one day out of the year...momma can do her own honey-dos for one day...no excuses...no forgiveness..!! you don't need a truck if ya not man enough to work on it.....? -

oh yeah...the disintegrated cage....I haven't seen anything like this since YESTERDAY when I had to rebuild a mower hub.....they notorious for this...
-
I know where you coming from...we had special name for these vehicles....can't say it here....

film makers knew early what cars were junk and needed destroyed, at least that is how I see it...I still like the John Wick movie of hi ripping it up in the Charger...but when pushed over the edge into the drydock the body is void of any drivetrain components..
-
you did not reverse the linkage..not eve sure if you could but at the minute need to throw that out there...my 54 is a slush-o-matic...I'm a shiftless bastard...
-
the spring is to assist you in upping the window and should offer some resistance when rolling down...I would therefore look to see if the mounting post of the spring is somehow slipping on regulator....
-
it is your thread and to my knowledge only you can mark it as answered, you can go back and correct this and remove that best answered comment.....you are in the driver's seat here....

I like the Shriners, they do a lot for kids...they are to have some fun in doing it...but as for these little cars...Shriner toys on steroids.....in their dreams.....my buddy was one of these guys with one of the tiny little clown cars....they not you average go-kart for sure...would like to anyone of ya try that with one of these old Mopars….I for one know their limitations...taking a street corner at anything above idle is one of them....lol

1947 Chrysler Coupe column measure needed please
Plymouthy Adams replied to ebruns1's topic in P15-D24 Forum
I may be wrong but I still do not think the column will be different on the Chrysler in this area.....for sure the linkage will be different due to the larger engine...my only source for parts identification is a Streamliner for the year in question...it does not cover but common replacement items...OTC if you will at the dealership... -
I would say cost measures prevailed and the design change implemented to save money. The two cylinder set up makes each shoe a leading shoe configuration....where as the rear got a single leading shoe by the single cylinder design and common base point.

1947 Chrysler Coupe column measure needed please
Plymouthy Adams replied to ebruns1's topic in P15-D24 Forum
I would think the measurement would be good for him as that is usually just a trim package...I do not see them changing the steering components other than color and again trim enhancements model to model...
