  1. you should be able to get your radius from the bed....this is where a small brake and shrinker/stretcher will pay off in spades...
  2. will have a finished edge....it is just the way this guy works...he does not like raw edge as prone to chipping...I need a new threshold pad for my sandblast building and if we have any tail on the job...will go to that...form is built...no sense to waste....no inspection on the 28" x 60" slab....? all I have left is get the water hose dragged to the site...
  3. I have some lettuce up and growing...it is just beside my salad onion patch...it is doing pretty good also...at this time...we are getting sufficient rainfall.... Got my inspection and a PASSED on the concrete this morning so we only hoping for good weather and no flat tires on the concrete truck come Friday morning..
  4. I learned last night the man found a stash of green buckets in the back of the storage area....so I called and ask that another 35 be set aside for me....just picked them up a bit ago....I will set these into place soon and stagger my planting a bit....
  5. yes...location is a big factor in prep for about any building scenario....the hardest part of this build is behind me...the prep of the pad. I ordered my carport for this pad yesterday and have a 2 1/2 to 4 week estimate on delivery and setup....hope it does not extend much further out than that. I am just wanting the sparks, flame and dirt/dust out of my main shop...I have a lift and such in the main shop that is ideal for mechanical work. Not what most folks here would want but is what I want...I have tons of indoor storage/space but I do not like working in doors of the barn. It was built just for storing my cars...I do have two bays I have done some ongoing work and welding was acceptable out there..but body work, concrete pad outside is I think going to suit me best...light brush finish is planned as this will be prone to getting damp/wet. little dirt....hose it off and let the big dog eat...
  6. brass by design is used as a sacrificial metal...one that will clamp with sufficient force but also one that normally will not seize to the stud...and if it does seize due to corrosion on the stud...being soft material it yields its internal threads and saves the stud....quick clean up, new brass nuts and away you go...manifolds are not by design to get an extreme amount of torque applied....brass nuts are not uncommon and should be easy to acquire at the big box store or on e-bay...I scored a set of 6 metric for a small engine I just put together for a very reasonable price and was hanging on a HELP card at the local chain store....surprised to find the metric...
  7. ah...no fair....this is a temp fixture...….
  8. I will not be doing general mechanical maintenance out there....this is to get majority of body work, welding and such out of my stick built garage/shop attached to the house...every time I crank up the welder, do any grinding/cutting inside the shop I get a bit concerned and I need to remove some of those fears...so concrete and metal will help with those issues....as for drain...I only have one bay that anything near a drain and this is for the wet floor when spray painting.....I have one grease pit now...that is one too many.
  9. don't work on GM cars...so no worry of a twisted frame......?
  10. floor drain…...I know I spill a lot of coffee but not to that excess.....
  11. lift and rotisserie....long wet winter prevented pouring concrete sooner
  12. little update....plastic and wire in place....father's day gift arrived a bit early.....
  13. auxillary running board mounting brackets....the tilt and fold style....
  14. we have open season on hogs.....should include armadillo and squirrel...AND IF SASQUATCH did exist...what classification and bag limit would their be?
  15. the coil is not going to hurt anything on a points system.....if 12 volt, as you did not state, the only thing you need is the correct dropping resistor to match the external resistor style coil....
  16. I am not pouring it myself...I am doing all the grunt work and my neighbor will be doing the placing and finishing...I will be assisting him as like myself he is retired and no longer in the business and has no crew of any kind these days.
  17. thanks, it is 20 wide and 30 deep.....and yes it is already filled was as of last fall but long wet winter prevented concrete at that time....
  18. Been doing a bit of digging of dirt....placing the moisture barrier and wire tomorrow morning....shooting for a Friday pour....
  19. couple days ago I made the comment that the zucchini was a disappointment....well lets amend that....tonight I will be having grilled squash and zucchini home frown mixed into my other veggies we grille......I have green beans coming on big time also......
  20. that is a very distinctly different trunk lid and lower finishing panel...and the beltline is upside down from US model...is this an Aussie thing?
  21. This little article may be of interest....good reading if nothing else..... https://www.aircraftsystemstech.com/2017/06/hand-forming.html
  22. that is the only critter with built in Fondue skewers
  23. I have right at 3 acres in this little 1880's community and I understand what lawn maintenance is all about. It can be brutal when Mother Nature has a bad hair day. Spent Saturday and biggest part of Sunday cleaning up after the last wind and rain that passed through late Friday night...I like a well cared for lot....we need rain and on the average I enjoy a good shower sitting on the porch swing listening to it come down, but winds, they always make me nervous with all the trees I have...
  24. unfortunately as is much the case...couple people getting into a bidding war and drive it beyond reason and then there is often the auction premium and sales tax and who knows what other hidden fees. Some nice stuff listed for sure.....if you attend, good luck....I have a cousin living in Carbondale, Il.
  25. nice, very serene looking area......as for the garden...am eating squash and cucumbers already....zucchini seems to be my main disappointment..no pollination it appears.;;;;;
