it's just around the corner......IWOYTD
Plymouthy Adams replied to Plymouthy Adams's topic in Mopar Flathead Truck Forum
oh no...I told you earlier, like days ago to get the dust off the tools...no excuses....no forgiveness...shaking my head here...I am in for quick check on correct parts order on an assembly...going to grab my brunch and head back out...two items already completed....not big items mind ya but all part of the same elephant -
could just be a internal bypassing....common to high mileage masters that still function under braking....the test is usually sitting with ever so light pressure on the pedal and if it starts to move down ever so slowly....time for a kit.....best part is that the master is fully capable of a refresh if this is your only symptom.

that's shocking you had the forethought to make this an IWOYTD entry....I did a tad of paint last evening in prep for today, just check my painted item that is a key part to my scheduled event, we ready to rock and roll. -

It's here....this is your reminder....I am heading out in just a bit myself......enjoy the day.....get something done....heck might be just he kick in the pants you need right now with all that is not right with the world. -
it is not in the least manner weird...it is as I said weird only if you had a 1 and NOT the "I" If you engine does not match the chassis...you do not have a matching engine..and if the engine was changed early in life and the shop/owner was true to the system the new engine number would be reflected on the title...rare this was done but it was the way it was supposed to be accomplished and odds are the engine in not original but accurately updated on the title for to have fewer problem on resell, trade etc.

Interesting photos I have run across.

I know this is cut to be a funny...but that poor girl surely looked stressed.... -
A nice yard requires constant care....juggling a job, wife, family, home, family time and maybe a personal hobby......Where's Fabio when you need him....

in those days the I was use for the '1' in all cases and would have been on the original engine if still in the car....it would be more strange and rather questionable if you had a 1 and no the letter I

that would be very hard to argue with....that is a nice green also... -
I would more than not have done the same thing as yourself....I however would not have ever been the first owner at 1900.00 not saying it is overpriced....I am underpaid....lol

oh now HF bailing out Slap-on...tell me it is not so......lol that lift does not look that old and certainly not abused in any manner...

that last few seconds are the entries and scrambling about of all the snipers and their favorite sniping software proxy bidding like crazy.....sometimes it takes a bit more time after the official closure for the dust to settle.....If sniping just set you bid...walk away...you win you get an e-mail to the fact...you no get e-mail...you no get item.....I used sniper about 2 weeks ago on an item of interest but as a wanna and not gotta have...I had forgot I bid till I was notified to pay.

can't get close to identifying this yet
Plymouthy Adams replied to Plymouthy Adams's topic in Off Topic (OT)
Yes Greg, it has all appearances of a jack and as stated my guess if for the early flat bar bumpers common through the 20's to the early 30's per the notch in the lifting bar..spiffy device and works well...with all the makes and model of cars in the past one can only guess. I am amazed that there has been nothing returned on my internet searches. Can almost call this a first... -
why does it look like that knife sits so comfortable in her hand....don't anger her....Ulu...we no see Ulu....
-
this was passed on to me along with a bunch of other tools and such from a recent barn cleaning.....I cannot find another like it on line which I think is unusual. Anyone ever seen one like it....it appears to be made for a car/truck of the flat metal bumper era.....stamped with R&H as maker.
-
actual removed panel from a 51/52 albeit slightly modified for modern steering column and barf-o-matic A500 four speed automatic, swinging pedals, floating accelerator level and snap in throttle cable....also a bit of metal replacement along the areas most prone for rust damage...photographed in wet primer

you need to change the description from loaned to a friend to better reflect their mutual respect and disposition toward acquaintances more adequately in my little world, a friend does not act in said manner...maybe I need to get out more often...lol
-
novel for the era...never had one or knew anyone toting about tunes in this manner....personally I never left a LP out of its protective or album cover...never touched a vinyl pressing with my fingers, always touched the edges only....most of my vinyl is 46-48 years old and still as new.

Veemoney, I noticed in your picture the two pieced adapter...often this is for odd count lug patterns which conflict with stud positioning...how do you rate the build of these two part adapters overall...?

I have never cared for and quickly got out of e-bay bidding...I seek out first buy it now and second shipping included and do my shopping in this manner..quick and easy and faster and cheaper than even Rock Auto can lay claim to and get name brand items and not some brand x rebox common to many parts retailers. If an item appeals to me that is open bid, I will trigger the sniper software and enter what I think is fair and if I get it fine, if not...not the end of the world, another usually comes along right behind this one. bidding is such a stupid game to play and drives the cost up....not the seller not the product but the I will get this determination of the buyer in a bidding war with another like minded person...gets personal quick...out of control even quicker. I often forget the sniper bid in play and when notified I had purchased an item as it is often just trivial stuff that supports the old cars not an item of dire need. Guess I am different than some to that regard. I go to an auction more for entertainment than to buy...if I do bid..I know my fair price offer and drop out without any remorse when that limit gets surpassed in bidding, again...another item will show up later. More people do this rather than bid early, prices will go back to reasonable and become customary charges...not the extreme.

that is the style that Volvo shows to use on their axles...

some can naysay this and that and but I bought a 35.00 puller in a read blown plastic case at ye ole tool vendor at the swap meet (off the wall tools and supplies inc.)...I looked at it and felt it should hold up well and I will be the only one gorilla gripping this item and gorilla grip it I did....to the tune of a 8 foot cheater pipe and my bouncing fat butt at 200 lbs.....even at that the drum did not yield...and neither did the tool....it took a few more persuasion techniques to apply and pop goes the weasel....this was true on both sides of this Salisbury rear axle (European Dana) and on the domestics I have used it on...couple good turns..get it tight and they released real nice. There was no distress shown on the tool....all the stress was on me....

good memory on the sandblasting shed....sandblasting here is for the larger components and none on the horizon to be done anytime soon and when used there is a vacuum dust collection system in place that keeps the fine stuff out of the air for the most part....at least as best possible... as per Veemoney…..around here at one time plastic pickle barrels were common and not so expensive....one could I would think be able to screw the big lid on...put a couple screws to lock in place and split these down the sides making two nice planters out of one...only draw back would be the half round but a placing is a slight trough would prevent roll over .

Thanks....I am pleased so far with the set up. I just picked up another 50 of these containers for my brother....albeit in red.....the greens and black having sold out first....these are brand new never used and I saw them unwrap them for the count......they are a steal at 4.00 each. I kinda wish I had bought another 10 of these for myself. I can still get some red ones but I an not so sure I would like bright red containers sitting about....the green ones don't catch your eye and sort of blend in.

those poor trees are totally exhausted......it is amazing how a tree will absorb stuff into itself as it grows...back in the day it was common to tack the barb wire to trees...today you see section of rusted out barb wire many inches into the tree's trunk...rich in iron is all I can say...
