Robin (UK) Posted June 5 Report Posted June 5 (edited) This is a factory option turn signal indicator bezel which I've had sitting around for many years. I recently got it fitted when my car was re-wired and I'm really pleased with it. Video here: IMG_0451.mov Edited June 5 by Robin (UK) 7 Quote
sidevalvepete Posted June 5 Report Posted June 5 Pretty cool when you can find those year specific period accessories. I would sit in my car in the dark and watch the lights operate too...😃 2 Quote
Ivan_B Posted June 5 Report Posted June 5 Did you paint the dash with the windshield installed in place? 🤨 Quote
rcl700 Posted June 5 Report Posted June 5 Can you post pictures of the buld setup on the backside? Quote

There are pictures on here some place of the back side of it, but I'm not good at finding stuff on here. An exploded view. Not my picture, Belongs to someone here on the forum. (I copy stuff when I see it.) Edited June 6 by Eneto-55 1 Quote

Robin (UK) Posted June 6 Author Report Posted June 6 (edited) The pictures above show a D24 bezel. The Plymouth bezel is angled. The under-dash set up is similar, but the bracket for the bulb-holders has a different profile. Edited June 6 by Robin (UK) 1 Quote
Robin (UK) Posted June 6 Author Report Posted June 6 And here are the other parts in the factory set-up... Quote
Young Ed Posted June 6 Report Posted June 6 Congrats. I've got all the pieces for OEM signals except that indicator! Someday I'll find one Quote

John Fleming Posted June 6 Report Posted June 6 Can you tell us about your tachometer and how it is wired ? Quote
Robin (UK) Posted June 6 Author Report Posted June 6 (edited) 1 hour ago, John Fleming said: Can you tell us about your tachometer and how it is wired ? The tach was custom made by Westach. It's 2" diameter, 6v, 0-5000 RPM. I specified it with their 'bullet case' and a stainless surround. Plus a lighting kit. And with a white pointer, to match the original Plymouth gauges. It's sits really nicely on the column, and is wired into the distributor. Here's a link to the gauge: https://www.westach.com/product-page/2ct53-6v Bullet mount: https://www.westach.com/product-page/692b-714 Lighting kit: https://www.westach.com/product-page/186-6a2 Edited June 6 by Robin (UK) 2 Quote
Ivan_B Posted June 8 Report Posted June 8 (edited) Why would you ever want one? I was constantly looking for it when I first switched from a modern car to a classic (and that is only because I mainly drove manual transmission cars before). Now, once I got used to driving a classic with just the speedometer (be that a car or a motorcycle) there appears to be absolutely no use in a tachometer. Besides, maybe, idle adjustment 😉 Also, your idle is probably too high 😇 Edited June 8 by Ivan_B Quote

I run a tach because my car's hopped up with vintage speed equipment... and I race it. 5 Quote
