Dustin Baker Posted November 16, 2023 Report Posted November 16, 2023 (edited) Need some help, my exhaust pipe recently high centered and it snapped the pot metal on my exhaust manifold. I don’t love the idea of JB weld.. but I can’t seem to find a good aftermarket replacement or a used one that is be completely rusted. Can anyone help me? JBNeal Posted November 16, 2023 Report Posted November 16, 2023 that's cast iron, not pot metal...I've taken cast iron to heavy equipment repair shops that had a good welder on staff, and they were able to patch parts up that have lasted me decades. Quote
ggdad1951 Posted November 16, 2023 Report Posted November 16, 2023 Cast iron CAN be tricky. You can get lucky (IMHO) with a repair: welding old cast iron is a art form, especially with parts that go through extreme heat cycles. Try a repair fist and look for a replacement just in case is what I'd do. Quote
Merle Coggins Posted November 16, 2023 Report Posted November 16, 2023 I agree with what Brian and Mark said. Your picture doesn't show the damage to the exhaust manifold. You are showing us the casting number on your intake manifold. Quote
Dustin Baker Posted November 16, 2023 Author Report Posted November 16, 2023 Ya, I did that for the part number.. I’ll get better pictures on here shortly Quote

I’ll get better pictures on here shortly That PN is for the intake manifold only. Actually it is a casting number, which someone with the correct manuals may be able to convert to a PN. But, it will still be for the intake and will not include the exhaust. Quote
Dustin Baker Posted November 17, 2023 Author Report Posted November 17, 2023 Do u know where to find the part number for the exhaust? It seems to be one assembly so I thought it was one part number Quote

If you don't have one, I advise a Shop Manual and a Parts Manual to have on hand. Both are readily available from multiple sources. Quote
Dodgeb4ya Posted November 17, 2023 Report Posted November 17, 2023 The part# of your exhaust manifold can be located on the flat underside of said manifold. Quote
Dustin Baker Posted November 29, 2023 Author Report Posted November 29, 2023 After doing some more digging.. looks like I have a 23” block. Can anyone recommend where to get a replacement? There isn’t any aftermarket options I can find Quote
John-T-53 Posted December 2, 2023 Report Posted December 2, 2023 Perhaps Wildcat Auto in Oregon? Someone on here may have an extra manifold too...post a "wanted" ad... @48Dodger Quote
