Doug&Deb
Having had to remove the carb from my 52 coronet I’m wondering what everyone is using to remove the nuts. Seems like an open end 9/16 wrench is the only option. A bit cumbersome especially on the side facing the head. Anybody have a homemade remedy? Sniper
I suppose you could replace the stock stud and nut combo with allen head screws and use a ball socket allen key to R&R them. But it's not like you need to pull the carb regularly.

kencombs
The old C shaped distributor hold down bolt wrenches are ideal for this. Is there enough room behind the nut for a ratcheting box end wrench? I have some stubbies of that type and they're great, IF there is enough room around the bolt head as they are kinda thick.
