The glass looks great!!! I remember when I did mine a few years ago it started to feel like I was actually going to get this thing on the road...

The car is awesome... Big "props" to you and the Crew

I hope you go back through this blog years from now just to reflect on how far you have come. Enjoy the process!!!

Weather Stripping Sweep questions?   There is a good aftermarket product for the outside window sweep that attaches directly to the door, but there was also a dry rotted inside sweep that attached with staples to the lower line of the garnish trim that frames out the inside.  It was a much thinner piece.  Does anyone know if there is an aftermarket solution for that piece?  I've looked and cant find anything.  We are thinking about looking around Joanne Fabrics for simple felt ribbon next.

Nick,

I recently needed to replace the felt in the window channels of the TR6 and a common solution is self-adhesive velcro. The 'fuzzy' side of the velcro is a great substitute for the felt that was used many years ago. I bought a roll of 4" velcro and cut it into narrow strips for the channel.

I wonder if you could adapt velcro as a weather seal in your application?

I went with velcro from Joanne Fabrics.  One role was 5' x 3/4".  I cut it into two thinner strips and it was enough for all four windows.  It seems to have adhered well.  I'll report out over time on how it holds up.

The black welt is perfect.

By the way... I don't mean to go off topic BUT... Does anyone know where I can find a rear bumper assembly? I need everything. I have considered taking a shot at making one but I sure like the look of the painted OEM Rear Bumper...

"painted OEM rear bumper"?

The only painted OEM bumpers I have ever seen were put on cars and trucks from 1941 to 1945. Chrome was a valuable war resource,so they painted the bumpers.

Bobby,  Nicholas will end up with an extra rear bumper assembly.  Everything except the tray that bridges the bumper to the body.  Stay tuned for pics and info.  I'll have him post it to classified over the holiday break unless there is charge for the listing.  Not interested in paying to give something away.

Chrome may not be a limited resource these days but it is more regulated, and expensive.  Paint is probably slightly better for the environment, but please don't quote me on that as I'm not an expert.

Why are you sorry you asked? No insult was intended when I replied. We are all here to learn from each other.

If Nick has a rear bumper assembly, I am happy to throw him a few bucks that he can put back into the car or whatever.  I just PM'd you my email for pics

I can come get it if it would be OK with you.

Hey Knuckle...None taken... Humble apologies for the pithy response. Just me being being a cranky old fart, as usual...

I suspect you all know this, but if this was posted in reference to the earlier comments about an extra rear bumper, and the lack of the splash shield, this one is for the front.  The rear one is a one-piece affair.

Yes,  I only have one rear shield and it's on the car already.  Dad came home the other day with this front shield.  I had just assumed that these were nearly impossible to find.  Most are either already connected to a car or rusted out.  This one is in good shape and only needs a good sanding and repainting to be like new.

BTW, Mr. Brandon the Plymouth Doctor had this in his shop and let it go for a really good price.  He has been very helpful to us on this project.  I'm lucky that he is located just up the road 30 minutes
