desoto1939 Posted March 24, 2018 Report Posted March 24, 2018 you should beable to put I would think that you can also get a new pump or rebuilt pump for your turck. Rich Hartung desoto1939@aol.com Quote
matt167 Posted March 24, 2018 Report Posted March 24, 2018 you can, older pumps are rebuildable, BUT if you screw it up at all, that is a direct line for gasoline to enter the crankcase. That and most pumps are still available. Quote
Jj1981 Posted March 25, 2018 Author Report Posted March 25, 2018 I know the problem is that there is no way to separate the plunger Quote

What is "the plunger" inside your fuel pump? There is a rod that attaches to the center of the diaphragm, is that what you are writing about? The fuel pump on my old Plymouth is fully rebuildable and you can get kits from Antique Auto Parts Cellar (a.k.a. Then and Now Automotive). Quote
Jj1981 Posted March 25, 2018 Author Report Posted March 25, 2018 Yes the rod that is in the center there is no nut to remove how is it held together thanks Quote
Merle Coggins Posted March 25, 2018 Report Posted March 25, 2018 Contact Then and Now Automotive to get a good quality rebuild kit for your fuel pump. http://www.then-now-auto.com/fuel-pumps/ Quote
