Don Coatney Posted August 10, 2007 Report Posted August 10, 2007 Dennis; Congratulations! New truck looks good. What are your long term retirement plans? Should I look for you when I walk into Wally world greeting me and offering me a cart? I thought I was young when I graduated from high school in 65 and was only seventeen. I did not turn eighteen until the end of June. I guess I would have been considered young by you as you did not turn eighteen until August. Quote
Young Ed Posted August 10, 2007 Report Posted August 10, 2007 Don You guys have me feeling young since I've probably got another 40 years of work ahead of me! Quote
Reg Evans Posted August 10, 2007 Report Posted August 10, 2007 Don You guys have me feeling young since I've probably got another 40 years of work ahead of me! Speaking of getting older and retiring. Lately I'm being asked if I would like the Senior Discount I will turn 59 in 7 more days and being asked If I would like a 65 year olds discount always surprises me Just the other day while paying for my ticket at our local fair a 70 year old lady asked again. Darn.....I thought I might look like a spring chicken to her. Rode hard and put away wet I guess. I'm still a kid at heart though. Quote

PatS.... Posted August 10, 2007 Report Posted August 10, 2007 August 16, 2009, my 55th birthday is d-day for me. Most of the ducks are in a row now, but it won't quite work if I pull the pin now. Planning for this started in 1980 after some almost violent urging by my uncle. He had a plan that I should follow. I wanted to buy toys. He convinced me to only buy one or two toys and follow his plan. I did...religiously...and it worked. Thanks Unc! Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted August 10, 2007 Report Posted August 10, 2007 Now, I'm jealous Dennis. You'll have all that free time to work on the cars and other fun stuff. Maybe next year for me. I think there will be plenty things to do on all those Saturdays of the week. Enjoy!!!!! Quote

greg g Posted August 11, 2007 Report Posted August 11, 2007 If they ask you if you want it Just say yes. Might as well enjoy the perks if they think you look the part. One of our local theaters gives senior discounts at 55. Me I always get asked for my license. Guess I don't look or act my age. Quote
