Found this forum when I bought my truck last year. Have read ALL pages and received lots of knowledge and insight on my truck. Wanted to finally post and thank you all...this is THE best sight for vintage Dodge trucks. My truck is a 52 B3B lowside. I found it on craigslist located in Temecula, Ca. I live in Las Vegas. It was running and in decent shape, just surface rust and primer in some spots, an exhaust manifold leak, and brakes needed work. Anyway, got those fixed, cleaned her up, and now she's my daly driver! I'm in heaven. All friends ask, "you're gonna paint and fix it up right?" No way...to me it's perfect! Here are some before and after pics. Hope they come through. Can't thank you guys enough.

Nice fat tires on that thing too.

Nice plates too.  You going to keep the Calif. reg?

Thanks for the welcome and all comments. Yes, 108 wheel base. Came with fairly new 16's and original hubs, decent 12v conversion, rebuilt carb. I thought it had lots of pluses despite the rough first impression. She ran rough even after the main issues were fixed, but the more I drove it the smoother it got...PO said it was sitting awhile. Runs nice now. I will change the oil and filter again this month...had a hard time sealing my oil filter canister the first time...found that the gasket that came with my Wixx 51011 doesn't really fit my canister lid properly. Found one that fit through a mechanic friend of mine. Think I will try a different filter brand recommended on this forum. Anyway, I also heard on jalopy journal about giving it a CLR bath to bring down the surface rust etc... I thought it worked great! Also used brake cleaner to remove the primer paint that was on it. Could not believe how much original paint was still there. Someone also recommended Gibbs oil to seal and protect after I was finished. I was impressed with that also. Feeling very lucky/fortunate for what I bought and how its turned out. Thanks again.

I got to keep the old Cali plates, but had to reregister in Nevada. By the way, we get some good heat during the summer here in Las Vegas...had no issues with the truck last summer.

Hope it continues this year.
