Mark D Posted April 29, 2016 Report Posted April 29, 2016 Work has me on the road quite a bit this year. Back in Feb I had a day to layover in Los Angeles so I hit one of my favorite museums out there, the Petersen. It's recently had a multi million dollar makeover, interior and exterior. Up on the second floor there's a nice collection of cars that have been customized by individuals and businesses. This nice example of a Chrysler was up there and I thought you'd all enjoy seeing the photos. If you are in the area, make time to see the museum. Also highly recommend seeing the Nethercutt collection in Sylmar, as well as the Antique Auto Driving Museum near LAX. 4 Quote

Plymouthy Adams Posted April 29, 2016 Report Posted April 29, 2016 too much of the Powell line in that vehicle...unique but not what I call a show stopper...roll next film.. Quote
busycoupe Posted April 29, 2016 Report Posted April 29, 2016 It would be interesting to know how long it was used. It was such a specialized piece of equipment it is easy to imagine that it could have been in use for years, perhaps decades. Quote
Brent B3B Posted April 29, 2016 Report Posted April 29, 2016 cool Mark, something I'll probably never see in person. Thanks for posting 1 Quote
DonaldSmith Posted April 29, 2016 Report Posted April 29, 2016 It would be interesting to see how the Movie Car accommodated movie equipment. Why the platform on the front? Why the two removable panels on the hood? Quote
Young Ed Posted April 29, 2016 Report Posted April 29, 2016 too much of the Powell line in that vehicle...unique but not what I call a show stopper...roll next film.. Certainly a case of function over form Quote
