We got Winter back Saturday night for Sunday as we got called to work.  I spent five hours on our Oshkosh plow as a wingman doing our route, then back in at 5am yesterday morning for another five hours,  It was a month ago yesterday since we had been called in due to bad roads.  On the brighter side, I have enjoyed my Plymouth very much this winter because of the mild winter here in the Catskills of NY

Bob its only a few miles from storage to home. You'd get a nice view of Mpls. Nothing exciting!

2" of fresh snow in northern Maine this morning, right in sync with the rest of you'uns in the northern states.  Being one to seek the silver lining in every dark cloud, this will be followed by heavy rain through the weekend, so, in one fell swoop, Mother Nature will be teasing us with a little more winter, then flushing all that salt, sand, and grit off the roads.

This past Monday on our route,  It takes two and a half hours to complete one round on our route, we had to do it twice on Monday

I don't believe I have ever seen two guys in a plow truck before.  Why does it take two???

Just Curious??

Todd, must be a gov't way of keeping the unemployment rates down. What I find interesting, is that they put them in a $100,000 truck then pay them to drive it through the woods! Seems there just ain't no justice anymore! LOL,

The town has a wingman in each truck that operates both the plow and wing.  Makes it much easier on the driver as he doesn't have to operate either as the  controls for both the plow and wing are located on the passenber side of the cab  off of the dash and floor.   As far as the woods go, that is a price we have to pay for living in the mountains LOL   Wouldn't change it for the life of me.  Raining here right now, snow is possible again on Saturday, sure hope not

Around here the driver operates the plow, wing, and drives. Some trucks are even equipped with wings on both sides.

Although I did see a plow truck in the ditch a couple weeks ago...  So apparently not all drivers can handle everything.

The truck comes home Thursday whether rain snow or sun shining.

Ed, If possible, please take lots of photos on the trip back.

Be safe and enjoy

It was lightly snowing most of the morning. By the time I had to go it was just the slightest of rains. Truck started after about 4 cycles of pump pedal pull choke crank for 10-15 seconds. Not bad for sitting since November. Bob no pictures as there wasn't much to look at just inner city Minneapolis.
