I cannot see where the turbo would do anything. Both the air inlet to the turbo and the pressure side are on the intake manifold Below the carb.??

look closer at the routing of the tubing....drafted down into the compressor and then routed back to the intake..

Looks like the casting beneath the carb is probably dual chambered.  The front side sucks through the carb gets boosted and is delivered around the carb and into the back side of the casting.   Wonder what it came from?

Don't know much about the huffer, but if you add the Flux capacitor maybe you can go back and get some answers.

If someone REALLY wanted it, they would've called and made an offer. A turbo flathead.....cool, a turbo flathead in a more door.....not for me. Buy it for the flathead, part/sell/scrap the rest to recoup some cash, hopefully come out ahead.
