48Dodger
The Trophies are done!!!!!!!! This is the big one...BEST OF SHOW!!!!!! And as you can see.....limited abuse to the pistons. If you win, and need a piston/rod to finish your next truck...you are good to go!!!!!!! 48D Edited March 29, 2015 by 48dodger

48Dodger
As the days close in.......I find myself maybe worried about the wrong things. The yard work isn't completely done, the garage could be cleaner, the shop could be more presentable and the house is well...the house. I've been planning "the day" and getting the necessary things handled such as the food, trophies, space and porta-potty. I even painted a few things, and salvaged a cabinet for the B1BQ. But it dawned on me yesterday....no one is coming over to see my yard, to see if my mower lines are straight. No one is coming by to judge my broom work or dusting skills. They are coming by to meet friends and talk about cars and trucks. I'm adjusting my attitude today because of a guy I met yesterday in Lodi....his name is John. Me, my girlfriend Stephanie and my son Zac were running errands for the BBQ. I asked them to keep an eye out for any classic trucks being cleaned in the many driveways we passed, just incase we should need to issue an invite. As we passed a school on the left, I stared at the playground thinking about carefree days as a 7 year old kid. That's when I heard a sharp declaration from my sweet Stephie, much like the cry from a crows nest in the 1800's "Land Ho!!!!!!" except in this case it was "LOOK! Aren't those Dodges???!!" She had spotted two 1948 Dodge Pilot-House trucks tucked away, two old proud heaps of iron past their prime. They looked awesome. I had missed them....I would have driven right passed them because I was trying to escape the worries of planning a BBQ. I love this woman....she has purposely learned a lot about my beloved old trucks and plans on going with me to Minnesota for the "Back to the 50's" car show and race with me at Bonneville in September. She's quite a woman. I met John yesterday.....he's gonna figure out how to bring one of his beater trucks, and definitely come to the BBQ to meet more Dodge nuts like myself. And THAT'S what I'm looking forward to, THAT'S why anyone would be coming... ...and to be honest, after spending a good hour talking with John, I can't remember what his yard look like. 48D Edited March 30, 2015 by 48dodger

48Dodger
Oh yes...you asked that earlier.... Open a photobucket account (free) Load pictures on photobucket (make sure its in a file you like, cuz if you move it later, it will break the link to the forum) When you view your picture on photobucket, there will be links to choose from, choose "direct link" (copy the code) On the forum, the reply tools on top has a square icon, just below and left of the smiley face Click the icon and paste the code in the window that pops up when you hit "ok" you should see you picture. What's going on: This is an active link to photobucket, showing the picture you have put on that said link. If you decide to move that picture, say to another file, the forum will not follow that link....only the one that put in the first time. That is why if you look at older forums the reply might have a picture icon that says "image not available" or "image not found". What may have happen is the original poster had deleted his image account, like photobucket, or moved his images around. So if you want to be ubber organized, you start files in photobucket that you won't change.....like "dodge truck forum pictures" etc..... There are other image sites......photoucket is the one I know best. 48D Edited March 30, 2015 by 48dodger

Don Coatney
I do it differently. On Photobucket I run my mouse over the small gear shaped icon found on every picture. I then click on that icon and up pops several choices. I click on share links then copy the link labeled img. I then paste that in the body of the message by right clicking where I want the image to appear. A box will appear asking to allow access. Click yes and you should be good to go. Merle Coggins
I also copy and paste the IMG link, as Don mentioned. However, I have my Photobucket set to only show the IMG link under the thumbnail image to save a couple clicks. Merle

John-T-53
Are those 218 or 230 rods? Are they re-bushed, honed, and balanced, ready to throw in on the side of the road? lol! Save the yard work for me, for chrissakes....you know I like to mow, haha :-) Although I'm sure the Minnesotan's are fixin' for a turn on the mower too since they've been cooped up for months. Work is pretty intense here this week...multiple deadlines. I'll be pulling a couple long nighters to get my crap done so I can get the hell outta here in time!!! countrytravler
Just got a call from George Chappels sister. That is the gentleman from Oregon with the 1937 Dodge flatbed truck, black and yellow with the Cummings Diesel. Some of you know that he has Parkinson. He had a stroke this morning and they had to Medicflight him to the Hospital. He is on a ventilator at this time. He had his truck on the trailer and packed with camping gear to camp the weekend. If we could give the family a prayer, it would be much appreciated. Thanks and I'll see you all this weekend. I told the George sister that I would do a lot of videos of the BBQ and she said that Goerge would really like that.

pflaming
So then, open toed shoes, or flip flops, and tank tops are OUT! I spect then wool socks with a red band on top required as well, beer no wine, beef not veal or fish, base ball caps with the visor facing forward, no designer jeans, cover the tattoos and leave the facial jewelry, and gold bing at home. Gonna be a culture shock. If there is any comfort in it, at least there will be one " politically correct ", 'green' vehicle there to appease the left coast environmentalists!!
