A stop for a picnic lunch and to cool off in a mountain stream on beautiful Route 106 just south of Woodstock provided one last photo op....

It was a real treat to finally meet a couple of the guys from the P15-D24 Forum and tour the green hills of Vermont with them and their lovely wives. Hope we can do it again next year....

We found parking in the shade behind the building. Here, Greg and Mark are talking with some of the young guys who work as guides at the museum during the summer to supplement their tech classes in school as "Ruby" cools off. They were very knowledgeable and eager to share what they knew....

Unbeknownst to us, a Model "A" Ford club from Connecticut had planned a visit to the museum that same day, so the parking lot became an impromptu car show. There were some very nice cars in this group, including this nice Victoria....

Hey, wait! What year is it?....

Next stop was Artisan Park, just north of town. Glassmaker Simon Pearce and other Vermont craftspeople have facilities there. Harpoon Brewery has a Brew Pub on the extensive and beautifully maintained grounds. The Ford boys also had the same idea and followed us there. Absolutely no modern cars visible in this shot....

Tracey wanted to see a covered bridge and she got directions to a real beauty. The Cornish-Windsor Bridge spans the Connecticut River between Vermont and New Hampshire and is the longest covered bridge in the country.....

As we prepared to leave, Ruby decided she liked it so much there that she wanted to stay. Mark and Greg persuaded her in short order to come along for the rest of the tour....

Perfect summer weather on July 11th and 12th made for a great couple of days. We met for lunch at the Chelsea Royal Diner in Brattleboro, Vermont, my home town....

It's a genuine Worcester Barrel Roof Lunch Car dating from the 1930's with built on additions. This is the third location this classic diner has occupied in town....

The intrepid members of the Plymouth and Dodge Optimists Group are, left to right, Tracey, Mark, Kathy & Greg with yours truly behind the camera. Incidentally, Mark came up with name for our little group....

Well fortified, we set out for the Ascutney Mountain Resort in Brownsville but not without a stop at the Vermont Country Store in Rockingham....

It's a great place with all kinds of classic toys and games for the kids, and tons of Vermont-made products including many delicious cheeses and, of course. maple syrup....

Greg's coupe and Mark's Ruby stop to smell the flowers....

The second day started with a visit to the American Precision Museum in Windsor, Vermont. It began as an armory during the Civil War where they developed and perfected the interchangeability of rifle parts forty plus years before Henry Leland achieved the same level of precision machining techniques in the automobile industry. It's well stocked with vintage lathes, drill presses and other great old machine tools....

We had a blast. Greg and I spent the evening last night dreaming up next years North-East event while we all slurped on a few margaritas. Will let Greg expound on that. Other than the baffling stubbornness of Ruby yesterday, all went off well. We very much appreciated Gene acting as our tour guide. We made quite a spectacle ripping up the hills of VT with our old mopars. Hoping next year will add a few more to the roll call.

Thanx for consolidating my posts, but would you please place them in the proper order?

I looked for a control for that and did not see how do to it. Sorry about that. . . Not sure the logic the "merge threads" button uses but it certainly got them in the wrong order this time.

Nice get together!!!!! The pictures are fantastic!!

Glad weather was so nice, and not bad meeting up with another group too. :)

. . . and I let the family talk me into going to Quebec. "If you build it, they will come". After seeing those pictures, others will join, MANY others have joined Tim's and they will join yours also. I just inked in the date for next year.

It sure was fun, wasn't it? Thanx for your kind words, Mark.
