Big Ol' clunky bumper

With the addition of this bumper it is finally starting to look like an old work truck. This is the bumper my truck came with narrowed up a bit with longer side extensions. It is not real pretty.....but it sure is functional as a step bumper. Plenty beefy for a small hitch too.

I need to add some amber running lights, a back up light and a license plate mount and the rear is done. I am toying with a couple of wooden tool box ideas for the bed area but haven't settled on a final configuration.

That is the best application of that bumper style I've seen.  It's in line with the running boards and completes the horizontal lines of the truck. Very, very nice. Good work. It does take a bit of time to get it just right, but well worth the effort. To my eye this bumper 'tones down' the color by bringing out the hidden black that may be in that light brown tone. The burgandy accent is just perfect.

looking good!    Before you know it you'll be looking for your next project!

Yah Jeff, ggdad is spot on, like that Dodge Hemi Suburban up in Red Bluff. You can get a car dolly and two it home with your "work truck"!

:lol: :lol: :lol: Oh you guy's are too funny.

Unlike some of you....I actually have some self control left... :rolleyes: ..granted not a lot.....but this is definitely not my hobby.

Much rather go on some adventures and do some fishing.

OK so my brother-in-law does have a trailer that is a match for this truck.......and maybe at some point I will do something with that.......but as I have always said this is my last vehicle.

I thought that myself Jeff when I bought my third truck!

I'm just waiting for the right weekend off now so that I can head west with Aussiedodgegirl and her husband to drag another truck home to add to my 'fleet'.

No doubt Doug. But then Pauls' middle name is trouble.

One is more than enough for me. Since it is going to be my daily driver it is sort of a never ending project.

Jeff, buying and fixing up old vehicles is like eating Fritos, "you can't eat just one". When you build a truck friends ask, "Jeff, what's up?" and you say "I'm building a truck" and the conversations begin. Once you've got it on the road, your friends ask "Jeff, what's up?" and you say  "I'm driving my truck" and  they just look at you. So then to keep your friends you buy another truck so that when your friends ask "Jeff, what's up . . . . . "

That's why Plymouthy has 45 mopars!  :D

Paul;

That is why Plymouthy has 45 mopars????  :eek:  Really? You believe that? I know he is your "mentor"......... but really?

Just a guess but I'd bet more than a few of his "friends" wear white coats. Wow!!! :eek:

Believe me when I say one Mopar is all I am ever going to have. I guess I just don't care enough about providing entertainment for my "friends". ;)
