I bought these 4 dunlop white wall bias ply tired from a Good Friend.

They have next to miles, but some age, will not state what age, do not want a rubber quality debate over the thread.

They are going on the Fargo, hope I am not making a mistake, have radials now, but they need to be replaced, if these do not work out will sell, but really paid very little for them in the 1st place......

The pics, they are dusty and need a good cleaning......

My main concern is the bias ply ride, gonna be interesting, but can always go back to radials if I have to.....

My main concern is the White Walls........since you dont want a debate about tire age and safety, which of course affect ride.....I will keep my focus on those bitch'n w/walls, and how awesome it makes your truck look. ^_^

Hey 48D, I tend to be partial to this look too. Just for the record,  the tire age issue, is of course important as well as condition, but just do not want to debate it, or get any members worrying about it either. The tires look brand new, have been inside at all times, gonna try them out........

Whitewalls...

are better than white wheels...

And the whitewalls for mine are older than I am, but passed inspection at the tire shop. Not rotten, not dried out, with new tubes the one I had mounted up on the painted rim as a test is fine.

Go for it.

I REALLY need to finish painting the lines on that hubcap... that looks awful...

post-2952-0-59351400-1377536519_thumb.jpgThe PO of my '51 B3C had new whitewalls mounted on the inside. I turned them around and added beauty rings, together with buffed and painted hub caps. They may not be to everyones taste, but I am tickeled. I don't think, however, that my adult kids are quite as happy with them as I am.

looks good Neil, just took a short drive, rides smooth enough, steering and handling over big bumps and ruts on gravel is not that great. I need to replace tie rod ends as they have a lot of play, the steering box has a little too.....

I have whitewall on my old Cowdodge but there fake!  There the old style of port-a-walls or faulsey walls.  If you ever get a set I might suggest befor you have them mounted spray the tire with good quality glue and then mount them.  I have had no problems with my fake walls and they have been on there for probably five or six years.  Oh and I like to show them to people who never heard of Port-A-Walls or a poor man's substitute for white wDSC00982.jpgalls.
