Where do I get the big headed bolts that hold the rear fenders of a 49' on?

Thanks, Todd B

The only place that I know that has those is Mar-K. Hornkey may have them too. You won't find them at any hardware store. There may be something that would work, but wouldn't be correct.

This is what you are looking for.  http://www.mar-k.com/Catalog/catalog.aspx

Mar-K also has some of their own design with will work, but aren't like the originals shown above.

Thanks guys, I will call Mar-K tomorrow

Be ready for  the sticker shock when you call them.  I forget how much they wanted, but they were way too pricey for me.  I went with washers.

Ouch, $90.  That is $9.00 a piece.  I think fastenal might see me walking in there doors today.  Or machine bolts mght be just fine.

I have a few, not enough, but I found a couple floating around in the bottom of a bin of parts.  I don't know how much it would cost to send them to you, but I will give them to you for the shipping charges.

Send me a PM if you are interested.  I think I have 4 or 5.

Couple other threads where this has been discussed. No 100% cheaper solution has been sourced.

Dodge central has them too but at 120 for the kit.

Thanks guys for the offers, I went to fastenal and this cute little thing sold me some "Elevator bolts"  They have a big flat head with a carrage bolt design.  There is no screw driver slot but I am hoping my body guy can make them work.  Mar-K wanted  $90 for 10 plus shipping.  I paid $6.00 for 14.  They are black and will have to be painted box color but I would have painted the stainless ones anyway.  I gave them to my my body guy at lunch and forgot to take a picture.

The backs of the elevator bolts have a taper to them, thicker at the shank and narrower as they get to the edge.  Unless some of the taper is taken off it's going to put some dimples in the bedside under the bolts when drawn tight enough to get the edges flush.  Cutting a slot in the face with a cut off wheel will give a screwdriver something to hold.  The time to rework them to make them look and fit good may exceed the cost of the Mar-k  bolts. They were originally designed to hold rubber paddles on a steel chain.
