He says in the ad he doesn't know what it is worth, so make an offer.

It isn't clear to me that he has a title, " I PLAN ON GETTING A NYS PAPER AFTER THE FIRST." sounds like not, but he plans to get something. I'd have to wonder why, if it's a clear known history, why there is no title?

Maybe he doesn't own it but thinks he can get it cheap off the current, ignorant, owner if he gets a high enough offer from the Internet.

Side question: When did paddy wagons go out of favor with police departments? I don't think I've ever seen a paddy wagon in use other than in historical photos. I'm guessing that paddy wagons were from the days when most policing was done on foot so they needed to call in a special unit to haul arrested people off. Looks like modern police cars are equipped to haul felons in the rear seat so they don't need that. When did that transition occur? 1940s? 50s? 60s?

Tod I've still seen them in use watching Cops on TV. I think now they are more reserved for bigger events where you might be arresting multiple people out of a croud or things like that.

the vehicle's recent history includes a decades-long stay in NH. NH does not require a title for most vehicles over 15 years old. there may not have been one included in its recent change in ownership.

not sure about NY but here in Georgia..there was never a title in those days and you still could not get one today..even if you bring it in from out of state with a a title from there...you cannot get it titled in Georgia...I had a very good meeting with the DMV this morning (new reg changes and I sent to see how this would affect me) also vehicles from 62-85 does not need a title and if were registered in GA with bill of sale only..even if you had the title in your hand from the PO...on sale the title is only good for framing and wall art..if sold out of state..bill of sale is leagl in all states..they don't like it..but they have to accept that by reciprosity..
